CHUDTIP- There's no unlockable Cliff Burton, so stop looking.
Ohh, that's a shame. Is there the unlockable Dave Mustaine? Complete with crying on command?

Great review, Alex. I'm curious, which songs come off the best, as far as the 'fun' factor goes?

How I wish there was an option to import these songs into GHWT. "Disposable Heroes" is just as awesome as I imagined it would be. I will say that, for me, playing with the Rock Band peripherals makes an already challenging game incredibly frustrating

Now that's an awesome idea for DLC. Mustaine popping up yelling "Not fair! This song is mine!" and messing your view with his tears and wailing. It could be in the expert ++ difficulty.

Glad to see my ideas are carrying some weight around here

Creeping Death, Master of Puppets, Shortest Straw. After that they get too tough to really have fun with people, unless you've got experts or are playing on lower difficulties. Sad But True and The Thing That Should Not Be are a helluva lot of fun to play as well, especially on the drums because they sound so goddamn booming and powerful on that album.

Also the bass on the older (Cliff Burton) tracks are incredible- you can really see where the bass started dropping off and falling into the background of the guitars after his era. Orion is a must.

I wish this game existed when I was 13.

I've been wanting to play "Master of Puppets" since this whole instrument protagonist (love that term!) thing started. Need to find somebody with this set, but quick.

I've got it, Renn, so if you end up in ATL any given weekend, etc, we might be able to get it running.

Awesome! I might take you up on that sometime soon.

I read people say things like this quite often, but I don't really hear it. There's tons of bass on their 90's records, and it was certainly given more prominence in the mixes from the black album on.

There's a lot of bass but not like with Burton with the band hanging back and letting him shred that thing to pieces. Especially live.
