I would have loved to have seen hard, pragmatic Jen and gooey, heart-centered Chris sharing a post-coital cigarette/cup of green tea.

Also: Sewage Joe (or is that "Blade"?).

This seems like a transparent, but very welcome, ploy to keep Kathryn Hahn on the show post-election.

I do like how Rudd plays Newport. Even though he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he isn't the sharpest knife in the kitchen, he isn't a bad guy. He has actually been nice to Leslie.

Rudd's so good in it.  "Yay, Leslie, we did it!"

Apparently they shot two endings, having Leslie either win or lose.  I kinda hope Newport wins, just so there's an excuse to have Rudd back next year.

If Leslie wins, do they change the name to "City Council"?

Programming note:

City TV up here in Canada aired the finale tonight, so beware spoilers...

Finally caught up with this tonight.

"It's a trap!" ruined me.

Curious about the scheduling shift up there.  Why the move to Tuesdays?  It's been that way for the last few weeks.

I was weak and watched it.   I won't spoil anything, but it was a great finale.

really great finale that saved a hit or miss season.

City airs Person of Interest on Thursdays at 9, so as soon as Parks moved to 9:30 on NBC they shuffled it around on the schedule, settling in at tues at 9:30...

I couldn't help myself.

Poehler is amazing.

"Damn it Jerry"

Happy with how this ended. Hope to hear a renewal announcement soon.

I loved Andy's list including the Moon, New Caprica, Battlestar Pegasus, and Winterfell as possible new places to live.  Also, Key Largo, Montego, and Cocomo.

So next season's 13 episodes will be the last of this show.  Damn.

The scene where Leslie got choked up while voting might have been the sweetest thing I have seen on television in some time.

And is there confirmation that next year is the final season?

Ben's reaction to that drink from Ron killed me.  Jean Ralphio's been missed.

I'll never understand why NBC chose literally the worst timeslot for this show. It's a great 8:00 show, quality-wise it should be their 9:00 show, and it flowed great in the lineup at 8:30. 9:00 though? Needs to be something a little darker. 30 Rock was great for that.

Also, it makes the Office seem that much worse since I'm just waiting for it to end so I can get to Parks and Rec.

Not gonna lie, I teared up a little bit when Anne told Leslie she won. Couldn't help myself. These characters are all so loveable, and I'm constantly invested in whatever it is that they're trying to do. I know some people think this has been a bit of a down season, but I've loved it throughout, and this was a perfect payoff.

Ron's speech about never changing is just going to get memed to death.

Hell, I teared up when Leslie was realizing her dream by voting for herself. And felt just as exasperated at Bobby for crashing the moment (laughed anyway).

22 episodes. YES.

Has that been confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt?

"Jerry forgot to vote"

"Dammit, Jerry!"

Hey, did anyone else cry during last night's episode?

...yeah, me neither [sniff]

"Bring it in, boy."

I love Donna.

Really, I love everyone.  Somehow, I even find Katherine Hahn strangely attractive in this show.

How any straight man wouldn't find Kathryn Hahn attractive on this show (in a slightly batshit-crazy way) would be the strange part.

Fantastic news, re: the full-season pickup. Absolutely shitty news, re: Whitney sucking down oxygen/money that should be going to Community instead.

It's mostly because I mostly know Hahn to play characters who are clearly dressed down to be unattractive.  At least from what I can remember (last thing being Wanderlust).

She is attractive, no doubt. Something that wasn't mentioned yet, Andy's puppy  face when he was waiting for a hug from Donna-April. Pratt is a hell of an actor.

Over AVclub there are plenty of shameless posts about crying for this episode. Mine included. As I have said countless I hardly laugh out loud during a show. Damm, Poehler is really good

Just curious, how are you with stand-up? I'm always fascinated by what makes people laugh out loud. My roommate, for instance, almost never laughs at anything unless I laugh first. But he's also seriously funny himself.

You mean watching stand-up? I haven't gone to any of them. There are no good shows like that here in Chile and where I was born -Uruguay- stand-up only emerged only in the last few years. I got upset when people around me laugh extremely loud -close to forced or fake-, I dislike not the set up of the joke but the forced "cue to laugh" seconds some people usually fall.

Oddly  I have a great time watching Borat, all the theatre bursting into laughs -me too, of course-. I like low laugh track like Seinfeld for example. Generally speaking I LOL at absurd stuff on Community, Parks or 30' (last live show was a blast for me) and Between 2 ferns for example. I consider myself funny with improvised stuff etc.

Little bummed out we didn't get a followup to Chris Trager's sudden post-coital hopefulness. Seems like they ditched that fast. Otherwise, great finale, great season, great show.

Looking ahead to next season, instead of getting renewed for her main show, I'd have been happy to see Whitney Cummings exert a little more creative control over Two Broke Girls, which is pretty much a bunch of bitchy gay writers making vadge-jokes.

She was looking good in Free Agents. I'm still annoyed that it got cancelled.

The problem is now you won't be able to read Watchmen without hearing Rorschach in Ron Swanson's voice.

...What am I saying, that's not a problem, that's a gift.

Ron: Dana, I need you to reach down behind that bar, grab a bottle of single malt scotch, pour me four fingers, and throw away the top.

Dana: Sorry, I only have blended whiskys

Ron: Why? Are children even allowed at this function?

Nick Offerman as some Being John Malkovich level performance art piece by Gary Sinise, blows my mind. I will bow down to the greatness of Lt. Dan.

The show absolutely has to lock down Hahn for next year.

"I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet."

"I'm... Ann..."

"DOESNTMATTERI'MLEAVIN!"

My god that finale was fantastic. Bobby saying he had never been so relieived in his life when he lost made me laugh really hard. So pissed this show is only getting 13 more episodes.

There's a great, must-read interview with Nick Offerman over at the A.V. Club. Highly recommended.

I don;t know why I clicked into this since we're possibly about three series behdin but..

I saw the Ron Sworschach link, clicked on it and it took me to a direct ref to last nights episode (the funeral of Lil Sebastian)

Fucking genius.
