Got that right. Johnny Ramone thought the guy was fucking nuts and I fully believe him.
'Imagine' that.

The guy's 69 years old, I wonder how much time he'll serve. What's the standard sentencing on 2nd degree? 15 to life or something?

Since Spector and Michael Jackson are just about done tainting their sizeable portions of the pop music landscape, I'm just wondering who's next. Is Carol King going to take out a post office? Has Smokey Robinson been raping puppies lately? Maybe Lindsey Buckingham lives off of baby blood?

Please, giant hitmakers of the past - I really can't get enough of you making my pop listening far more complicated than it needs to be. Carry on. No, really, Brian Wilson - I want you to keep throwing old ladies out of planes.

Spector created the "Wall Of Sound."

Mr. Spector, meet the "Wall of Cock."

Something's not right about Kenny Rogers. I don't trust him.

It's Karma for the way Spector messed up "Let It Be" with his overblown "Wall Of Sound".

There's no way you can get that far in the chicken business without getting your hands dirty.

I'm sure Lana Clarkson was happy to take part in this "karma."

Just to be clear, I think Spector was guilty as hell of murder and hope he rots for the rest of his life in prison.

I was in Vegas a month ago, and couldn't help but stare at the "The Gambler" themed slot machines in the older casinos, with an illustration of his mug front and center. No mortal man should have such power as having a flavor of slots with your face on it. He's either up to something big behind the scenes, or has dirt on one of the higher ups. One day his comeuppance will come. Mark my words.

Any day now they'll dig up Ruby. I understand why Kenny did it. That doesn't make it right.

He knew when to hold'em and when to fold'em alright.

This picture is disturbing if only for the fact that the hair makes him resemble Dudley Moore circa Arthur.

Poor Dudley. Don't really mean to compare that great guy to this friggin' murderer.

The guy's head was all disfigured when he went through his car windshield way back when. That wig is hiding lots of scars 'n such. He's gonna be a sight on the way to prison.

I wonder if he's "under contract" like Swan?

No it wasn't, that's Steven Van Zandt of the E Street Band. Spector is just bald.

Wikipedia lied to me! The levels of Spector evil keep going!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Spector#Later_years

Quote:
As the seventies progressed, Spector became increasingly reclusive. The most probable and significant reason for his withdrawal, recently revealed by biographer Dave Thompson, was that Spector was seriously injured when he was thrown through the windshield of his car in a crash in Hollywood. According to a contemporary report published in the New Musical Express, Spector was almost killed, and it was only because the attending police officer detected a faint pulse that Spector was not declared dead at the scene. He was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center on the night of March 31, 1974, suffering serious head injuries which necessitated several hours of surgery with over 300 stitches to his face, and more than 400 stitches to the back of his head. His head injuries, Thompson suggests, were the reason that Spector began his habit of wearing outlandish wigs in later years.

That sounds very much like Steven Van Zandt. I'm not saying it's not true but it's practically identical.

Stuff like this is why I love Norm Mcdonald.

And because Coward of the county is second creepiest Kenny Rogers song.

Ohh and uhh yeah it's good he was found guilty although not that shocking. Hell everyone that knew him for more then 5 minutes saw him acting like a gunslinger at high noon.

I still remember Spector showing up to collect some award years ago with 2 giant bodyguards (each with one hand strategically tucked into their jacket).
Creepy bastard.

Also, Lindsey Buckingham tried to choke the life out of Stevie Nicks years ago, that's a start isnt' it?

Maybe I should put my Queen of the Naked Steel vhs on eBay. I'm gonna be rich!

Joke 1: Yeah, he would've succeeded, but couldn't find her neck under all of the flowing silk scarves.

Joke #2: And his failure condemned the world to decades of further suffering.

Calling it now: Paul Dano as the young Phil Spector in the inevitable made for TV movie.

I realize this conversation has long past, but I found a photo on my phone. I couldn't help but take a picture when I saw it.

19 years to life. He will not see the light of day; either prison will kill him (very likely) or time will.

Life sentences can be as short as eight years with good behavior.
