Tobe Hooper's "Toolbox Murders" non-remake a great script?

Yes, my second "?" topic starter of the day and I'm looking for anybody whose read this (I'll probably head down and nab a copy for me-self soon), but I heard today that the actual script to the "Toolbox Murders" remake that Hooper is doing is fucking AWESOME - scary and creepy as shit and quite good. Though "Apartment Complex," in my opinion, sucked, with a good script here, Hooper may have a real hit on his paws.

That's good to hear. I was worried for awhile, because this may be Tobe's last chance to prove he's worth something.

My problem is the tile of this movie. I don't see how it fits? It was great for the original because it screamed "Exploitation", and that's what the original movie is. I think the using the same title for a different movie is stupid.

The writers have been in touch with the Corner a number of times keeping us in the loop on the story and it sounds cool. There are a lot of other cats who've read the script, contacted us, and gone to bat for the project. I'm crossing my fingers for Tobe on this one.

The Inspector is supposed to make a set visit...tonight, I believe. Hmmm, I'll have to call him in the morning.

The set was indeed visited. I'll have something soon and I'll be doing a follow-up visit to assemble an article for the Corner in the coming weeks.

Now, see, that just rocks. Way to go, Insepctor!

Yeah, I've actually been quite surprised by the amount of love this idea has gotten from a lot of people who's opinions I respect. If Hooper can pull this off, it might mark a magnificent return for him, and hopefully pave the way for those 'ROTLD' sequels we was attached to.

Question for Inspector, can you explain why, if this movie is indeed not a remake, it has the same title?

I just hope this doesn't end up going straight to DVD.

I spoke with Producer Tony Didio about that. I intend to write up what was said for a quickie little article for ya soon boss.

It's been far too long since Tobe had a film in the movie theatres. Would be nice if it happened with Toolbox, but I wouldn't hold my breath...

Great news about the set visit. It's awesome that the corner is getting the scoop. I'm looking foward to seeing what comes of this.

Why have two new Return of the Living Dead movies when you can remake a movie not many people give a crap about anyway, I say!
why?!

you seem to like coming out of nowhere and taking a shit on everyone else's parade, huh.
