In case you don't get it...

Wow, he can't even draw a pouch anymore.
Is the pouch crafted from Freddy Krueger's back-skin?
Even his signature has too many fucking lines in it.
I'd like to see Liefeld draw a kangaroo, personally.
I'd like to see him draw something anatomically correct. Like a foot, or a woman's torso, or something.
I'd like to see him draw an apology for the years of shitty art, shitty story-telling, and being at least 65% responsible for all the speculator bullshit that happened in the 90's.

And I think it should have 846 cover variants.
What the hell do they keep in those pouches?

It would have no feet, but a GLORIOUS pouch.

You might as well ask for the sun to stop shining or for water to be no longer wet or for New Jersey to get rid of that smell. It sure as shit not going to happen.

And how the fuck can you run with so many pouches?

I just started reading this, haven't even read #40 yet, and am thanking you in advance.

Now, I realize it's like kicking a crippled retarded child, but I just can't help myself:

- What the hell is wrong with Chapel's right hand? Is that one enormous finger inside a trigger guard or is there a handle somehow built into the trigger guard? I feel like there should be a thumb partially visible here.
- Does the "clip" coming out of previously referenced gun extend out of the trigger guard/handle or is it actually positioned to the left of it as it seems. That makes less sense from a design standpoint but at least the cartridges don't have to magically pass through chapels fingers to get inside the gun.
- Someone is really tall, or someone is really short. Obama is well in the foreground for goodness sake.
- OMG, someone cut off the presidents left hand! Maybe they are carrying the guns to go kill this dismembering bastard?
- Poor Obama. No enormous bulging crotch for you! Maybe Liefeld consulted Michelle while researching this piece.
- Where the hell are Obama's pouches?! How can he carry anything without hundreds of tiny pouches all over his clothes?

The thing that kills me about that 40 Worst list, is I used to have quite a few of those (I bought pretty much any X-title in the early-mid 90s).

Look at post #12

Seriously one of the funniest things on the internet.
Agreed. It took alot of dedication and pure hatred to write that piece. It's funny as hell.

I hope the guy had to pay for this sketch. Whatever you think of Rob Liefeld, he's getting paid to make art and this dude is going to fucking comic book conventions.

Yeah, I had the thread up, but un-refreshed, and there was no 12th post when I posted - but I edited it with something else.

How does this jive with your "Art isn't he Special Olympics/Not everyone's a winner" standpoint?

I get that you loathe sweaty mouthbreathers who go to conventions and all that, but it is pretty funny to get the guy to draw a pouch. Why shit on it with such venom while also defending this hack? Do you really feel bad for Liefeld?

I just think it's hilarious that someone STOOD IN LINE and probably PAID MONEY to 'make fun of' Rob Liefeld. Not sure how you don't see the fucking ridiculous pathetic aspect of this.

Also, what does this even mean? What's that got to do with anything at all? Liefeld is a professional artist. he gets paid to draw shit. How is that NOT being a winner at what he does? I mean, maybe he doesn't 'win' as much as other people, but he's not standing in line shelling out 20 bucks for some fucker to draw him a picture and giggle about it.

This is just internet troll behavior in real life, and just like on the internet, it's the griefer who is really the pathetic load.

I do, I do. Especially assuming they paid for it.

I also find him being confronted with his horrible artistic choices hilarious. Although, that implies that naive assumption that he hasn't already been faced with it 100 times over, if not more. (I'm sure he's seen that lengthy dissertation that was linked above).
He should have asked him to draw some feet, I would have stood in line for that.

Ummm... he sucks? He's a fucking laughing stock?

I'm not sure what you don't get about the connection. Per your theory (which I agree with), just because you're creating something doesn't make it good, and it doesn't mean you deserve a pat on the back.

You don't think Collora deserves a pat on the back for his fan wank, and most people don't think Liefeld deserves one for his rubbish.

I think they line up perfectly.

The line wouldn't have moved, as Rob scratched his head for an eternity. You'd be in limbo.

Who is giving him a pat on his back? I'm just saying that as big a hack as Rob Liefeld is, the guy who waits on line and pays him money to draw a pouch is way, way, way more pathetic. Obviously that guy feels he's less pathetic than Liefeld - which is why he's 'laughing' at him - but the truth is that Liefeld makes his living doing what he wants to do while that other guy is just a loser.
How do you know this guy doesn't make a living doing what he wants to do too? Just because he stood in line for this?

It's just a joke, if he had spent his life savings or stalked Liefeld for this, that'd make him a loser. But this?
I actually think it's sorta cool. I don't know if Mr Liefeld is aware of the criticism of his style, but I'd like to think he's willing to play along with the joke.

Mind you, I also thought it was cool when George Lucas was on the Indy 4 set wearing a "Han shot first" T-Shirt.
You're right, Cap. Griefing is the sign of a well adjusted, happy person.

This is probably the most unsettling picture I've seen all day.

Ooooohhh, now I get it.

Devin, no matter what crap people email you, we don't think you're the Rob Liefeld of Movie Critics. Captain Touchy.
Ok, everyone move along. Devin is here once again to make sure you don't enjoy anything. Nothing to see here.
