On Adult Swim GI Joe: Resolute will be on tv tonight. From the new trailer I saw it dose seem it has more in kin with the old marvel comic. When it comes to the body count.

Shouldn't it be casualty instead of causality?

And Bazooka? Noooooo. When did Doc get so old?
Oh, I'm liking the Commander's voice a lot.

So far so good, thank you Mr Ellis

Citizen Burke, YO JOE!, WOW! That was so cool, that I wish G.I. Joe Resolute already recieved their commissions to go to series. Thank you for posting the G.I. Joe Resolute ep's.

Citizen Burke, This is definitely the way for G.I. Joe to be. G.I. Joe Resolute is very cool indeed.
Thank you Mr Ellis for having some fun with G.I.Joe, i'm liking the 5 parts so far. Nice redesigns too.

George Lucas said older fans wanted the prequels to "be like Terminator 2." That's kind of how I felt for the first three, but getting into at least the Storm Shadow/Snake Eyes bits and was excited just to see a competent CC and Baroness.

Major Bludd is the perfect Cobra to kill off: he's one of the earliest, but he had no real personality except for his accent in the cartoons.

somehow I think i'm going to be wishing this was the plot of the movie instead of what we are going to get

the ninja stuff is badass. I want episode 6 dammit

Here are links to episodes 6, 7 and 8. And a link to Warren Ellis' blog post on episode eight.

GI JOE fans should be aware there is much death in these episodes.

I am really really really enjoying this.

Who thinks this will wind up better than the live-action movie?
I just caught the end of the Snake Eyes v. Storm Shadow arc. A better question would be, who thinks the movie will live up?

I've been pretty pissy toward Adult Swim since they started experimenting with live-action content, but their website is consistently amazing. Hell, the flash games are better than most of the MMOs I've beta tested, including Free Realms.
This is just plain fun. Pure and simple.

WOW! Snake Eyes Vs Storm Shadow, quite the epic fight, of the 2 celebrated G.I. Joe Ninja, shown in a way all G.I. Joe fans have always wanted to see onscreen.

Here are episodes 9 & 10. Adult Swim will premier the G.I. Joe Resolute movie at midnight this Saturday the 25th.

YO JOE! It is definitely the right time of year to visit Springfield, especially since there are alot of snakes in the grass there, perhaps even Cobras.
WOW, this completely slipped past me before. Fantastic update.

duke, you make my brain bleed (in a good way)

That bit with Tunnel Rat and the balloon reminded me a lot of the old 80's cartoon.

Plus, I never realized that Tunnel rat was Asian; was his character some kind of acknowledgment of the Vietnam era?
TURBO-1984, Tunnel Rat is based on G.I. Joe A Real American Hero (Major Domo, Writer of the entire Marvel Comic series), who is Asian.
Yeah, Tunnel Rat always looked vietnamese

Wasn't Tunnel Rat based on Larry Hama?

Still, I really enjoyed Resolute. The live action film has a long way to go to match it.
Yeah, he was based on Larry Hama. Although, not so much the Resolute version.
Damn, I didn't know Hama created Bucky O'Hare. I was obsessed with that cartoon when I was little.
oops! I forgot to say Tunnel Rat was based on Larry Hama. He is the G.I. Joe Major Domo I was talking about.

Episode 11 the finale, my only issue with it was that they got the text in the final message wrong. Great ending.

To establish its predominance as a cartoon again, it makes sense the first thing they would do is take out Springfield.

I think they should have reduced Storm Shadow's lines referencing the Seventh Step just a tad. He came across like a homicidal version of The Count. Destro and The Baroness were also unbelievably bad at hostage-taking and Zartan better regenerate.

recorded this this weekend. I've watched about half of it and I'm thoroughly enjoying the updated movie.
I watched it yesterday. There is no way the live action movie will live up to GI Joe Resolute. It was cool to finally see the GI Joe's in a realistic war scenario after growing up watching the old cartoon.

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow was such an awesome fight sequence. Really just everything Snake Eyes did in general was bad-ass beyond belief.

"Honor returned to the site"? I'm guessing that was supposed to be "On our return to the site"...
Thoroughly enjoyed it and I have to ask, is more coming? This felt like a long, awesome opening movie to a tv series.

I wouldn't go so far as calling it realistic. Fun and enjoyable yes but it's not like Cobra or even the Joe's for the most part could hit anything.
Yeah realistic wasn't the right term, I guess the better one would be that there are consequences to what's happening as opposed to just blue and red lasers missing everyone around them and nobody getting hurt much less killed.
Got to say..it felt like I was watching the original comic book series..impressive.
I really enjoyed this series. And I would love to hear that it has been picked up for at least a 13-episode run. The tone of this is awesome.
Anyone else hark back to the Venture Bros when they see random Cobra troops and think "They should hench for themselves"...

13 episode run would get a spot on my DVR
