Ron White: Behavioral Problems

I dunno how Chewer approved this gentleman is, I'd imagine that a lot of people would write him off due to his association with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, but he's fucking funny as shit, and this is pretty great.

He's kind of like if The Dude was a stand-up comic.

I like White and do my best to disassociate him from BCCT as much as possible. Being the funniest part of that gang is like having recognition for being the child molester with the softest hands.

I enjoy his work.

His Tater Salad was kinda muted as well as his Blue Collar stuff.

A study in scotch. Very funny, but I feel drunk every time I see his glazed eyes.

I watched his 2003 Comedy Central Presents the other night, and they showed clips from his new one, and whew ... Now, he looks like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day version of Kenny Rogers.

Funny Farm closed this weekend.

But I hear the owner is opening up a new club.

When my wife first told me he was funny (she had heard some of his routines on the XM comedy station) I was surprised and a bit worried that this might be one of those clashes of personal taste that makes you question whether you're meant for each other. After some exposure to his work I now fully agree with her that he's really good, a calm relaxed delivery of some great material. Too many comics are high energy and it's nice to see such laid back delivery.

Plus, he's 100% right that you can't fix stupid.

When things are taking forever, I still use the phrase "moving at the speed of smell".
