Blavatsky and THE SECRET DOCTRINE

Did a little research at the national library here in Vienna for occult books and found several volumes of THE SECRET DOCTRINE by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. Fascinating stuff even though I don't believe all of it. Great food for thought and further research. It is also interesting that on the books' cover there is a svastika! Now since it was printed in 1888, one year before Hitler was even born, there obviously is no direct nazi-connection. But according to Nicolas Goodrick-Clarke's excellent THE OCCULT ROOTS OF NAZISM Blavatsky's books did in fact influence German nationalists. As far as I know it is she who brought up the whole Aryan super-race theory. But that is really only a small part of the books which have 1000s of pages. Food for thought, as I said. Anyone else here give those books a try?

No I havn't read those, but your right about her influence. I have a farily sensationalistic VHS about the occult roots of naziism and it mentions her, Aryan myths and secret rituals held in a castle.

There is even a bit about the rocket race. Pretty ineresting watch.

Oh and a bit of information on the swastika. I assume this is common knowledge at this point but still, some people are unaware. That particular image is used the world over. It's strange actually that such a similar symbol with equally similar meanings would evolve out of cultures that had no contact with one another. Anywho, in Hopi culture it represents the sun. Buddhism uses it as well and it too is used to represent the sun. The Nazi bastards were just a bunch of Johnny come lately's so to speak, in reference to using that symbol. Everywhere else it was used, it had been so for thousands of years.
