Man you sound like a modern Jameson ...

I'm sure you'd be a dick to Spider-Man too if he was real.

Who me?

I wonder if that worked out?

Yeah, Shadowhare's probably a bottom. I'm sure that's some sort of slang.

And here's the inevitable backlash/parody site, depicting a supervillain organization, complete with a recruiting video and T-shirts for sale.

With this, the joke has pretty much jumped the shark until one of these fools really does go and get himself injured.

Aw, a parody site? I was hoping for a tightly knit organization of costumed evildoers dedicated to petty shoplifting and selling nickel bags to teenagers.

So they have their own mental disorders in lieu of superpowers? Will Chronic Alcoholic Man liberate us from the pink elephant scourge? Or be defeated by Methadone?

In a puff piece written to coincide with the release of Kick-Ass, The New York Post does its part to get New York's very own crime fightin' cosplayers killed. As a bonus, the Post got four of the six covered in the article to disclose their real names.

Dark Guardian looks like he just got out of a relationship with Northstar.

I like how in SEVEN YEARS, he's almost come to blows with thugs.

And that girl's pretty cute... I should start hanging around shady parks in NYC

That was the dude who came to the Kick-Ass screening to ask questions. The one that everyone laughed at when he asked Millar and Romita Jr if they'd heard of the real-life superheroes. And then he said that the film was like watching his life story which was a bit sad, and creepy.

Guy had an umbrella strapped to his hip. I thought superheroes were supposed to brood in the rain.

I'm just kind of puzzled as to why a guy who calls himself "Dark" Guardian dons an outfit emblazoned with bright red and blue. It's like the guy never picked up a comic before.
