Just a thought for now

Work is giving me two free vacation days to use during the summer and I'm considering going to NYC for a long weekend in either or the third or fourth weekend in August (Yeah I realize it'll be hot as shit but what can ya do?). This is all very very very preliminary. But if I get it together, could I expect you NY/NJ chewers to come together and say hello?
If you come for the second to last weekend in August, I'm going to be showing a movie at the bar. Haven't finalized the schedule yet but it'll be something good!

It's not gonna be Water Power is it?

Damn, I was curious of the flight ticket cost (especially since it's West Coast to East Coast). Cheap!!!

Jet Blue has it round trip Burbank to JFK at around $300 not including fees.

US Airways has it for $170, one stop in NC.

Edited to add. Tampa to NYC - cheapest? $140 and I'm a hell of a lot closer.

Yeah but that seems to be out of the way. Not to mention I'm not gonna get decent ribs at the airport.

*gasp* They've got Hefenwizen! Not to mention Peroni...which is okay.

Stop by MN on your way out East, Ed. I'll buy you a walleye at Tavern on the Grand.

I've thought about that just so I could go and harass Rob but I can't for the life of me think of what's there to do in Minneapolis. Other than yell at Norm Coleman.
I'd punch you in the dick Hocken. Then I'd buy you a beer, and it wouldn't be Boddingtons.

If you come out here around Labor Day, you can enjoy one of the best and oldest State Fairs in the country. You'd be amazed at what kind of mutant foods end up on a stick.

Wait a minute. Rob wants to put his hand on my bathing suit area? I NEED AN ADULT! I NEED AN ADULT!

Of course the flipside would be getting my sexy mug in your show. But then I'll need plenty of drugs to avoid the cats. I've got alergies.

Haha, just like Ceej. And Judas is right, our State Fair is pretty fucking awesome. Also, the Ren Faire. The best in the country and I cannot wait for it.

I dunno, I'd like to keep my embargo on state fairs. Never went to LA County, not gonna start now.

There's nothing like making a weekend out of the Ren Fest and the State Fair. It's an incredibly punishing experience for your gastrointestinal system, but it's SOOOOO worth it.

Exactly.

By punishing, you mean the worst case of diarhea in your life.

Pshaw. What kind of nambly pambly stomach you have Hocken? haha

It's very namby pamby. I can't take a lot of grease. It's why I no longer can handle Pepperoni pizza anymore.

This is ironic because of my relvatively poor eating habits. But if you slap chese on a burger. I will break the landspeed record for the bathroom.
Jesus, if you can't handle cheese on a burger, you'd die at the fair. DIE.

We're made of sterner stuff, Rob.

If they could sell Deep Fried Meth on a Stick, our population would explode.

Deep Fried Meth?

Also, looking at the definition of delicate constitution, I saw a picture of Ed.

Now I'm not sure about MN. A ticket from Burbank to there is about the same as going to JFK. Hmm....
I'm going up to NYC after San Diego, but I don't know the dates yet. Maybe we'll be there at the same time.

Let me know the dates. But I'm aiming at a long weekend. Leave on Friday come back on Monday sort of deal.
Ed,

Mayhap you can time your weekend to coincide with the first annual Drunken Skee-Ball Tourney...

I'm fairly sure Phil would love to demonstrate the dominance of East Coast skee-ballers, by ending you as well...

I have no doubt that he can. But I saw that thread and he's looking at around Memorial Day. I'm looking at some time in August.
Ed... I'm sure that most of us would be willing to accomodate you. If not, then we can arrange another tourney. I'm sure someone will cry havoc for a grudge match.
