She was right in telling the one guy to do all his homework before making allegations, but 'The President told us it was okay' doesn't actually make it okay. And her 'Bupbupbupbup! Don't call it torture!' thing is laughable.

Also: Her bit about 'you can't just decide to stop dealing with certain countries because of their human rights violations' is bullshit, because that's EXACTLY what we did with Afghanistan several months before September 11th. I don't remember the exact date, but it wasn't long after the Taliban vs. Ancient Buddhist Statues thing that we cut off diplomatic relations with them.

Not to mention the cornerstone of the admin's policies toward Iran, North Korea, and others (Cuba is another big example, but that goes back a lot farther than 2001). Diplomatic isolation was the go-to weapon of the Bush admin, and lecturing people now about how you can't ignore the people you don't like couldn't get much more disingenuous.

I like one of the right-wingers in the comment section is calling everyone NEO-LIBERALS now. I guess the term socialist much not be catching on with the holier than thou crowd.

And yes, I love that she strongly echoes Richard Nixon in her scapegoating that torture was okay if the President approved it. I wonder how long it will take for her to join Karl Rove on Fox News as an analyst.

Cheney had a few beers and shot a guy in the face so if that didn't do it I am assuming that a politician would have to resort to public cannibalism to get thrown in real jail. Did she really just downplay Nazi Germany?
