Look at this fucking hipster - Page 4

Wait, are we making fun of retards now?
Somewhere, a hipster sits in front of his Macbook, reading this thread while Animal Collective plays from his overpriced wireless speakers.

"Attention," he says to himself, softly. "Attention," he squeals again as he slowly reaches to undo his skinny jeans and begins to stroke himself, slowly at first, and then faster and faster, like the coming of a maelstrom.
Bullshit on that, said jeans are so tight they cannot be undone without pliers. You lose.
I know a few people like this. Cringe-worthy is an understatement.

Just found this thread.

*edit- He might actually, he drinks anything. Fuck.
It's kind of scary when you look on that site and are slowly reminded of one or two of your friends...
If you are ever about to have your picture taken, no matter what, FIRST think to yourself: "Could this be submitted to latfh.com?" and if the answer is YES, walk away.

I never said nobody should make fun of them. I think it's lame too (although the examples given in this thread are extreme to say the least). As I've said over and over, I just think it's stupid, a gigantic waste of time, tremendously immature and terribly unfunny. But knock yourselves out!
I just noticed your location says Cambridge. You're secretly one of them. Aren't you?

Personally I'm just glad they've left beards alone for the time being and have gone back to ol' reliable mr mustache. Leave my beard be.

I love that there is a thread making fun of hipsters on Chud.com.

Meanwhile, there are current active threads about Iron and Wine, The Magnetic Fields, The Hold Steady, Scott Pilgrim, etc.

lol.
Oh my god, he caught on to us.
SCOTT PILGRIM is not a hipster comic. Jesus Christ.
I just saw a presumably straight guy wearing pink pants. Pink.
In their defense hipster girls can be pretty hot. If wearing a pink boa and a tutu lands you that, more power to you.

Over here kids only recently graduated from wigger to emo so we're a little behind. A few hipsters started appearing in youth oriented commercials and I've also spotted a few advanced scouting parties recently, though. Is it already too late or can a few strategic ambushes thwart their advance?

Forget it Stelios, once it reaches the shores. It will not stop until it has consumed everything in its path.
The funny thing is, hipster is now "cool" in that everybody knows about it and everybody's trying to package, market and sell it. Hopefully that will make it evolve. Or something.

Time to stock up on supplies and ammo and prepare for the bitter fight, then. Think well of me, brothers.

(This post must be read with the Gondor theme from LOTR faintly playing in the background.)
Say Stelios, did your pants suddenly just get tighter? Oh god, he's one of them, now!

Anyway, can someone please explain to me the appeal of mumblecore?

I'm so glad I live in Canada and am old because I have no idea what you are talking about. It sounds dreadful.

It actually sounds like old people mumbling something to truly hardcore tunes. Or what is considered Hardcore when you are an old fuck.

Seems to be right down your alley, Sir!

Half the appeal of hipster clothing is that it can be bought at thrift stores for next to nothing. Though real hipsters buy expensive clothes that just look cheap.

Exactly, it's one of the most irritating thing about hipsters. The fact that somehow it costs so much to look like shit.

And this is what mumblecore is.
Mumblecore sounds like a Harry Potter character.

I love how his voice almost slips into Gilbert Gottfried from time to time. His descriptions of Williamsburg, Brooklyn is giving me flashes of MILK.

Yeah, I'm genuinely poor (I have a wife and kid). And they're taking all the good thrift store wares.

As a hipster, I take offense to that. I (mostly) buy my clothes at second-hand stores because they're cheaper and usually cooler than anything you can buy at a retail store.

I live in the hipster part of Asheville, on the street with the main hipster bar in town. So I'm used to being around hipsters from time to time. They dont really bother me to be honest, they can actually be pretty fun.

As funny as a hipster can be.

Someone will have to inform me what is wrong with being a hipster. I am not *quite* a hipster (as far as I understand teh definition) but have many friends who are. Who cares if your jeans are skinny or not? Or if you like Macs or PCs?
I don't care if someone's jeans are skinny, hipsters do. Therefore I don't suck and they do.
Well my friends who could qualify as hipsters, I do not think they would care if their jeans were not skinny, its just they prefer skinny jeans.
