Your all time fave boogeyman

Thread Starter
Ok i know this topic has probably already been done but i was watching Hellraiser again last night and thought id post it anyway.
Who is your favourite boogeyman?
Forget about the quality of the films they are in im talking about who would you least like to see stood in the shadows in the corner of your bedroom? For me it has to be Pinhead, if i saw him stood by the window id be in dire need of some new underwear.
So come on all you horror fans whos the 'daddy' of your nightmares?.

Tom Arnold.

Come on Dan

Even Arnold ran from....

ROSEANNE BARR!!!!!!!!!
Aah, but that's just it you see. You could outrun Roseanne. But Tom? He may look podgy, but he's stocky and if you woke up with him in your room...

Well, the results would be messy and traumatic for all involved.

I think mine is Michael Myers (from the first film). There was just something with the way he moved, his mechanicalness, and his look. It was great. Of course that was before he started getting "dissed" by rap star actors.

*un-invites Tom Arnold to next celebrity sleepover*

*come to think of it, scratch Rip Torn, Riki Lake, Sinbad, Oprah and Paul Anderson from that list also*

Mmmmm...just leaves me a Ms Gellar. What a straaaaaaange coincidence.

Micheal Myers from H1&H2, definitely. Much scarier for my money than any of the others.

Although Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man has to be on anyone's best boogeyman list.

"BOOOYYY!"

Definetly Mike. The concept of pure evil personified just worked. A machine that just needs to kill, no rhyme, no reason. Creepy as hell.
For what it's worth, my vote would go for Mr Myers as well. Of course, it now looks like I'm just saying that to be in with the cool gang...

Isn't it sad that so many people still think the character is the scariest thing commited to celluloid, and yet the latest film is about as scary as a wet fart?
Even though the Tall Man was one creepy ass mofo...I am going to choose Djinn! Wait, wait thats not right...wrong Wes Craven movie. I am going for Freddy. Something about those claws get to me.

Course, between the ages of 1-12 that Fav. Boogeyman title went to Chuckie. I was so frightened by that little doll I would walk into the video store backwards just so I didn't have to see the box!

The original Thing From Another World, played by James Arness.

The white-masked chap from Halloween was quite good as well, in the original. But by the second movie, where he's being blown to bits and repeatedly shot in the face without so much as a tuft of hair being disturbed on his latex head, and he doesn't even display the sense to open a bloody door before he walks through it (reminding me a touch of Homer S. plowing nonchalantly through paper doors during his stay in Japan), he had already become a wan caricature of himself. Even the mask was starting to look weary of the whole affair.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about it but he is kind of like "Bruce" the shark in human form.

First of all... try containing one of those in a board meeting. Terrifying.

Secondly, my wife, to this day, still holds Michael Myers as the creepiest character in a film.

I was Michael Myers for Halloween one year (had a microcassette of the soundtrack in my jumpsuit pocket the whole night) and she wouldn't come near me. Now this was before we were married. We are just 'dating' at the time. I seem to remember many people just flat out avoiding me the whole evening...

So, I agree that Michael is the ultimate boogeyman. No one can just stand there and make you want to wet yourself like Mike.

Yeah, "Like Mike" made me want to piss as well.

Jason. Voorhees.

Highest body count of any movie boogeyman. Ever. Doesn't kill an ever-increasing string of family members - but instead kills every single fucking person in his path.

I love Jason. He is my Journey song (when Nick Nunziata isn't around).

*cough sputter cough* I can see with you first pick on Mike Darkened Mind...but H20 being his second best?!?! I would probably put Halloween 2 behind the original. But to each his own, though.

the clown from POLTERGEIST

The little kid hovering at my bedroom window at night... eh... I mean in Salem's Lot.

That gives...eh...gave me the willies for weeks.

I'd have to say Leatherface. The crazed chainsaw swinging is for me one of the most iconic images in the history of horror. And chainsaws rule.
To go with a bit more on the obscure side, I'm going to go with Zelda from 'Pet Semetary'. She gave me nightmares and made me feel all uncomfortable for months after seeing it for the first time.

Other than that, I'm going to go with Mitchum in 'Night of the Hunter' as my #3. It's almost more scary when the psycho thinks they're dong the Lord's work.

I vote for Michael Myers, the champion of sexually repressed stalkers everywhere.

But if we're talking Boogeymen (women?) of the ghostly variety, then I'd go with Sadako.
Sadako. definitely.

though, if we're talking non-supernatural, I'm going for that evil, EVIL woman from Audition.
I cant believe nobody has mentioned the most terrifying of all boogymen...

Macaulay Culkin in "The Good Son"!!
