Jesus Christ, I really like these guys, but I didn't expect the record to be this good. It's kind of punk, glam and country in a blender, and it's their best record in years. Guest appearances from Patterson Hood, Adam Duritz and John Doe. You can hear a preview here.

Anybody else pick this up? Anybody else still a fan?

It's just me, isn't it?

They shredded live when they were opening for X and NY Dolls. I'll probably check this out just based on that.

Seeing Cracker do "Lonesome Johnny Blues" live is one of life's great joys.

X and the NY Dolls are playing here on the same night in different venues. My Sophie's Choice for the summer.
