Here's a taste of her new album which is out on the 23rd of June.

I really enjoyed the last album,so I'm hoping she can match it.

Edit: Damn, can you edit a thread title?

re edit, I don't think so. What is the best from Regina?

Begin To Hope was her last album. That's probably the best work we've seen so far.

I also heard "Blue Lips" today, Crowley. Another somewhat somber track.

Thanks for bringing her to my attention! Good stuff.

For her crazier stuff, definitely check out "Soviet Kitsch". I really like "Songs", too, which is more mellow, but has some really great lyrics and vocal work (my absolute favorite song of hers, "Daniel Cowman", is off that album).

I had no idea that she would be putting out a new album this year, but that link instantly shot it to the top of my "Most Anticipated" list.

Begin to Hope was fantastic from beginning to end. I can't think of a single song I don't at least really like (ranging to absolutely love) and neither of these two songs really hold up. They're not bad, but they're kinda leaving me a little cold at first listen.

She's working with a handful of different producers on this album. Included in them? The one and 'fro-nly Jeff Lynne!

Picked up "Songs" because of you guys. What a fantastic album. It's very low-key (mellow was a good word to describe it) for the most part, but really allows her to showcase her vocal talent. Does she kind of remind anyone else of Bjork?

Also, a portion of the composition of "Bon Idée" belongs to another, much older song. It's the little piano ditty that starts at around 0:13 and repeats throughout the song. Pardon my ignorance, but does anyone know the name of the song it originated in?

I love the hell out of Regina, Begin To Hope is easily one of my favorite albums of last few years.

I'll have to let my missus know about this new album, she'll be chuffed.

I heard another new track on XM yesterday afternoon-- "Folding Chair" was probably my favorite of the songs I've heard so far. It's jaunty, sweet, and is one of those relationship/story lyrics that she's best at.

Only a few more days 'til the album hits us in the face!

I've acquired the album already, and it is excellent. Standout tracks include "Folding Chair", "Human of the Year", and "Two Birds." There's no one knock-you-out-with-how-amazing-it-is track like "Fidelity", but the album as a whole is quite great.

It's on Spotify now.

Looks like the standard album has 13 tracks, and then there's a Special Edition with 15 tracks + a DVD of 4 music videos (all songs from this album). The single CD is only $8 at Best Buy, and I'm teetering on whether or not the SE is worth the bump to ~$14. Hmmmmm.

Also, she performs on Good Morning America tomorrow morning, and is on XMU every morning this week, I believe.

You can edit Thread Titles, you need to go to the root of the music forum, and click next to the title of your thread. A slot should appear to change the title.
I've done it a couple of times.

I love Begin to Hope and Soviet Kitsch but this is probably a little too twee even for my likings. The production on the album is top notch, but their's a self conciousness to the quirkiness which does a lot of harm to the album.
