No, that's fucking beastiality, and fuck you for suggesting that. That's over the line, man.
No, I don't find it funny, because a) I respect the food I eat, and understand where it comes from, and b) I know why it runs around. At 4, sure, I'd laugh at it, but I'm not a kid.

And the fact that you think it's not a conscious is pretty telling. All animals knows when you'll slaughter them. They do. They think. Not on a significant level, but they do. Even chickens. But you don't know that by buying your meat at the grocery, do you? And it's not a reason to be cruel with it.

And no it's not bestiality. Fucking a bear is. Fucking a dead bear is both bestiality and necrophilia. Ask your parents to teach you the right words for the rights things.

"Dehumanizing"? Christ, that's ansolutely hilarious. But here I broke my own rule from my previous post. You're simply not worth engaging on this topic.

The animal doesn't complain because it can't speak, you ignorant fucking cunt.

This is unbelievable. If a bull were able to vocalize what its feeling, you don't think it would say "THIS HURTS, STOP FUCKING STABBING ME PLEASE"?

I'd like to take a matador out here in the parking lot and shoot him in the mothafuckin' face...

This is dedicated to a personal friend of mine... the bull.

You can hate both, but torturing an animal for food or entertainment is quite different than gaining sexual pleasure from it. Christ. I'm sure there are some people who just love animals so much they fuck them. There was that movie, Zoo, right?

Sounds like you may as well be saying "If they were people", which they aren't. Animals have the survival instinct, as every living organism does, bacteria as an example.

Well, you have injected more humanity into a bull than a human, in this instance.

Any form of meat preparation does not constitute torture, since some are given quick, painless deaths.

Don't pretend to know why I'm a vegetarian.

This is completely dense. "Animals are our lessers, so we should be able to do anything we want with them, up to and including torture for our amusement, but we mustn't derive sexual pleasure from them for our amusement, 'cause that's just wrong."

That's fucking retarded.

And I love that Louse's idea of "humanity" doesn't include compassion for the suffering of non-humans or empathy of any kind for non-humans, which many would say are some of the very things that make us human in the first fucking place.

best thing to happen to bullfighting since Brosnan and Kinnear teamed up. If only that dying elephant had used its tusks to do the same thing to the bitch with the bow and arrow.
At this point, I think that I'd pay to see dreary louse chased around a ring and stabbed multiple times by a colorfully-dressed Spaniard. I'm thinking that would be quite entertaining. Especially if he does his bullshit ignorant retarded rationalizations during the whole thing.
At least they didn't dump bleach on the bull...

Seriously though, there's a big difference between painlessly killing an animal for consumption and causing it intense pain for entertainment. The only thing that separates us clever apes from the rest of the animal kingdom is our ability for higher thought and the means to convey it... Something like that.

killing for food =/= killing for entertainment or personal pride

A great many animals intended for consumption are not killed painlessly. Nor even grown painlessly, in many cases.

This doesn't change the fact that Louse is a fucking idiot.

No. Fucking. Way.

Like Russ said, there's inhuman way to slaughter an animal, but if you equate the need for nourishment with entertainment, you're nearly in the same category as Louse.

Which is why we need stronger regulations regarding the treatment of stock animals, and a regulatory body to enforce those laws. Instead, we all too often let the foxes run the henhouses, so to speak, especially under certain recent de-regulation-happy administrations.

But then you could argue they're still cruel, needless deaths.

It was ignorant of me to assume why you're vegetarian, for that I admit I was wrong.

I say that about those being against it tending to be sheltered, priviliged and from the west because, well, they are elitist and condescending. These sweeping moral judgments do apply to those in other countries who, well, have to feed and clothe themselves however they can.

I dunno, having the animal there is just, well, I wouldn't be surprised if it constituted some form of bestiality.

Like I said, this is essentially a philosophical question, because if you've been on this earth long enough, you've contributed in some way to killing or ending a species, and animals have always been used for entertainment.

I'm not saying do whatever you want with them, such would fuck humanity over!

Fuck you, and you can't enter into a debate with what mentally ill people think about something. This has no weight, it's merely to suggest I'm dumb and mentally ill.

There's isn't any way you can prove that, it's a philosophical mindset. Not fact. This is partly where the anger in this thread comes from; the self-righteousness. I am merely trying (and failing) to instill doubt, instead instilling alienation.

I'm being the thoughtful one in this discussion - I am not celebrating an animal at the expense of a person who you don't fucking know, though it seems some Chewers think they do, and are more familiar with who he is than the animal. Maybe bulls love to run into people! I never said bulls should be speared, I said the guy deserves some sympathy because he isn't an animal. The survival of a person always trumps an animal. Otherwise we'd be milling about insecure and afraid to step on ants. This doesn't mean we have to or should fucking kill them all. That would ruin our species; it's in our best interest to not do that. But it's not like over-fishing and such activities are new to mankind.

So high and mighty you all...

You honestly don't think animals feel pain? They don't have nerve endings and pain receptors in their brains? That mammals other than humans (who are also MAMMALS, remember) are magically free from suffering and only react to stimulus through their survival instinct?

I'm guessing you've never had a biology class in your entire life.

Jesus fucking Christ. This has to be some elaborate joke, right, people? At the end Louse is just gonna say "AHA! Gotcha!", right? Because otherwise...

Oh please forgive my small post-count and anger at even nearly being compared to Louse. Barring any forum specific rules on the matter, though, I'll use symbols if I please.
No, I'm not doubting that they feel pain, I'm doubting they're so equal to us. So yes, you can criticize me like, "But how can you want to cause pain to a living creature!?" Before this, let me say there is a line between doing shit like bull-fighting and mental illness of the future serial killer who tortures small animals, and some Chewers have confused this.

But I think that this militant pro-animal mindset is detrimental to human beings, like fascism is. Some vegans are completely against eating meat, and their voices are heard loudly from PETA. To me, this is exactly the left-wing liberal equivalent of a right-wing redneck neo-con, who hasn't really stepped out into the world or thought about why they think things (heh), on this topic. You're going to travel to Africa and start telling people how to live their lives?

There aren't many wrong or right answers. The only wrong answers I can think of would be blowing ourselves up or killing everything so we can't survive.

When is the last time you saw PETA, the most militant vegan organization this side of the A.L.F., go to rural Africa and try to convince people to be vegan? They don't. And there's a reason for it and it's a shocker; we don't get our meat the same way rural Africans do. We get our meat from multinational conglomerates running animal processing factories in often times the worst possible way for the animals, the workers and the environment.

It is the very fact that we are so fucking spoiled that compels us to do something about it. It's not that hard to understand.
