So you like it, eh? I was VERY impressed with the quality of the final artwork, it really looks amazing.

Coming to the party late, but...

Will this be sold in stores, or will it be online only? And will it be in the normal $15-20 range, or more expensive?

Definitely curious....
But an even more important question would be do we get to see Necro Nancy bobbies?

Thanks for the nice comments about the DVD cover art.

If you can't get enough of NECRO NANCY (Krista Grotte), check out the Official Website of a brand-new horror film coming soon called "FILTHY" - it stars Krista as sadistic sex-kitten named "Pussey" (that's Puss-ee). The FILTHY site has the ultimate Krista gallery on the web (click on the FILTHY GIRLS button); check it out:

This all looks very amazing actually. A disk I would be proud to own and flaunt in the face of others. I'm so exited for everyone involved, this can only lead to better things.

It depends...Krista's wearing bikinis in some of the photos. It's worth getting in trouble for.

That looks great. The disc art looks really good too. Nice work. So will this be something Best Buy will carry or will it be an on-line purchase through the CC? Can't wait to see the films.

I think the article should be pimped on the front page

Don't you???
The 5 films included on the disc are excellent. They're horror movies from all around the world. I remember seeing Bill 'Splat' Johnson's "Don't Worry It's Only Your Imagination" at the first "Saints & Sinners" Film Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was a darkly unforgettable experience. Bill was nice enough to send me a VHS copy about a year ago - now it's finally being released on DVD!
This looks like a fun thing to own. It could spruce up any Halloween Horror Marathon, and make you the envy of your frienden.
Sign me up come September. This will make a great addition to the October viewings! I especially liked the art on the disc. Very cool.
Ah, September. Half-Life 2 and The Nightmare Collection... come to poppa!
I want to thank you all for the kind words about the DVD. We are very excited to be a part of it and look forward to bringing it to you very soon. As far as distribution goes we have several companies interested in seeing it upon its completion so we will be sending out the screeners the very day its ready. As far as pricing goes we want to keep it between $15 and $20 so everyone can enjoy it and believe me, it is jam packed and will be well worth the money. We will keep you posted on its progress and hopefully this will be the first in a long line of 'Nightmare Collection' DVD's.
Can a man shill on his own site? Let's find out...

I just updated the official <a href="http://www.nightmarecollection.com" target="_blank">Nightmare Collection site</a> which has the same pics as in the story, as well as the full layout (front and back) for the slip case, if you're interested.
This looks very promising, guys. Are these feature length films? Bill should be commended for some great-looking makeup effects. I'll buy when the time comes.
Bill's is the longest (just over an hour), the rest are all considered "shorts". Ranging between 10 to 30 minutes. All are hand picked by Ryan, myself, and Rick, so you can trust us that you won't get screwed with buying crap.
Thanks Johnny. I have faith in the CC team. This collection will dominate.
Looks freakin' good. The cover is excellent-will definately catch eyes from potential buyers.

Hopefully, one of my shorts will be on an upcomming volume of the Nightmare Collection....

What you talkin bout Willis?

Nice Nightmare Collection site and for the record the price sounds great but if the releasing of a 2nd edition meant paying more or buying 2 I'm all for it. There needs to be more compilations out there to help get these indie filmmakers works like Bill's distributed and in the hands, or claws, of the horror fan.

Anyone out there ever consider doing a Project Blacklight. A horror take on the rediculous mess that is HBO's Project Greenlight. I think the Greenlight thing is great but the two clowns that are trying to direct the latest one are whacked.
Project SCREAMlight, surely?

Then you can get a nice little 'Cease & Desist' letter like we got from Miramax for our 'Project Bluelight' we held with the Corner. I love the concept but you would have to make sure it in no way resembled that show or they will take it down. I am hoping we can use 'The Nightmare Collection' as a way to bring many of these talented filmmakers their 15 minutes and also introduce the world to a whole new brand of horror.

Damn Mirimax. Too bad Lions Gate didn't come up with that first. What was this 'Project Bluelight' you speak of?
'Project Bluelight' was a contest we held with the Corner to find a short horror script to use as part of an anthology horror feature. The winner would have their film produced as part of the anthology and be directed by Brinke Stevens. We found a very solid script that will be produced following our 'Death Island' project through this contest that we also had to rename, 'The totally unaffiliated screenplay contest'.
You gotta love it.
Heh, pretty funny. Wasn't 'Death Island' just the American title of a Japanese Horror flick?
Wow, congrats to all you guys! I don't pop into the corner all that often, so seeing this brought a smile to my face. Good for you and may you have many customers!
I'll be ordering this as soon as it is available. Looking good!
Nice job all.
But most importantly will this be available Region Free or just as a Region One release?
because poor liddle ole me needs a Region Free or Region 2 to be able to watch it.
That, Mr.Man, is an excellent question...Rick?
From my understanding the DVD will be 'Region Free'. The only catch is that your TV must be able to view NTSC. Most of the PAL DVD players will play both so you more than likely will be fine.
Depending on the distributor of course it may be released as both NTSC and PAL, but that of course is too early to tell.

Thanks for the heads up, i'll start sticking away the cash for release day.

I may have a very interesting announcement in regards to an early 'Limited Edition' release very soon. I'll announce it here and through the Corner.

Stay Tuned!!!

I want to get some feedback from the Corner Consortium on an idea we have for the release of, ‘The Nightmare Collection’. As you know we are going to attempt to get a distribution deal for the DVD. This in itself could take some time as we send screeners out and shop the project.
We have an interesting opportunity that we are interested in looking into where as we can use a company such as Customflix and release a ‘Limited Edition’ version of ‘The Nightmare Collection’ ( No Extras ) for a reduced rate. This is what we plan to use as a Screener to send to the various distributors along with a cut sheet detailing the extras that will be included in the ‘Special Edition’. The reason being is a DVD with the films and all the extras would require a multi layered DVD or double-DVD set and that expense needs to be picked up by the distributor.
The choice we have is to compile the DVD and create VHS screeners to send out and once it’s picked up, they of course would release it to stores. Through the company Customflix we can create a ‘Limited Edition’ DVD with all of the films as well as Necro Nancy’s segments introducing them. The only thing is it would not have any of the Extras that will of course be released on the ‘Special Edition’ later. This would give us a source to pull screeners from while also making it available to you right away. Therefore you can enjoy the films and Nancy while we shop it around. We would have the DVD’s available for $14.99 for the ‘Limited Edition’ and then it would probably run $19.99 for the ‘Special Edition’ once it’s picked up for distribution.
Give us your thoughts on this situation and if you all would like to be able to pick up a copy of the ‘Limited Edition’ the first week of September or wait for the ‘Special Edition’ once we get a deal with a distributor.
We want to hear from you.

You can't go wrong with a Limited Edition. If, in some way, they are made unique (i.e. numbered) I'd be tempted to double dip...something I rarely do. That and the fact that I cannot wait to get the DVD in my sticky palms. But then again, that's my opinion.
I would be tempted indeed to by both and then gift one of them.
I will look into the idea of numbering them as I would love to do that. One thing we will have on the 'Limited Edition' is an infomercial for the 'Special Edition' hosted by Necro Nancy herself. She will give details of what to expect and what extras will be included. This of course is for the Distributors we send this to so they get a strong grasp on what we have planned for the 'Special Edition' release. But any chance to see even more Nancy I feel is a good thing. The infomercial will not be on the 'Special Edition' DVD.
I'd buy both just to see it as soon as possible and then to get the extras with the regular release but numbering the limited editions would make it justifiable and kinda cool.
The goal obviously is to get full distribution and have the DVD available in Best Buy, Wal-Mart and so on. Our releasing the 'Limited Edition' would serve several purposes. It would give us a source to send screeners from to various distribution options and It would enable us to get the DVD out to the public quicker to show potential distributors that we have a viable product through sales.
