Awesome. Thanks for saving me a download.

You know, your chudtips really are useful.

Sounds about like the Kotaku review. I don't remember them talking about the spamming with pipe bombs though.

Given the poor performance of the 3 games they've done (this, Bionic Commando, and Wanted) and rumors of mass layoffs at the company, this could be the end of Grin.

Bionic Commando didn't do good?

Haven't read that review, but the pipe bombs are the easiest way to get through the game. Thankfully in the post-apocalyptic world they're lying around everywhere. There's almost no reason to use the regular guns at all, just grab up every RPG and pipe bomb you can find and that's it.

As far as GRIN goes, I'm still wondering where they pulled Bionic Commando Rearmed out of!

It just came out obviously so I don't know what the numbers are. Generally though, I judge a game's initial success on how many people on my friends list I see playing it. I have not seen a single person on PS3 or 360 playing this game.

I thought you were talking about Rearmed. I didn't know they were behind the new 3D version as well. Is that any good?
Yeah, Rearmed did quite well for a network download. Of course they also priced it at 'only' $10 for consoles so who knows if it made close to enough to recoup development costs. I know they were reusing some of the engine from 3D version.

The new game has been getting in the 70's review scores and the demo never really grabbed me. I'd say it's seeming like one of those "if it's somewhere for less than $30 I'll pick it up" titles.

They really did the stupidest thing ever with that demo. Throw a person into a multiplayer match without even telling the controls! That's the way to sell a product that takes hours just to get the swinging mechanics down.

Thanks. I thought I was missing something there. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to swing, and by that time, I had already mentally given up on it. Immediately deleted from my HD.

Good T:S review here. Thanks. A perfect example of letting some other poor sucke... I mean friend, play and let us know that it's no good. Thank you.
