Well, I want a little more. This just reminds me of the Saturday morning bumpers on the Disney channel.

EDIT: I tried to do a search for them, but came up empty handed. Did find this cute TOY STORY/WALL*E commercial that I hadn't seen before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEL0tZC-2ew

That was great. If it's true. I'm iffy on the first one. Can't believe that was Wall-e in Toy Story. Maybe added in the 10th anniversary dvd?

I always kinda wanted an Incredibles sequel. But the more I think about it now, the less I do. Love that film.

That said, I am the only one of my [geek] friends that likes A Bug's Life best among Pixar's offering's so far.

Not that anyone asked, but I would rank them [I won't be seeing Up until tomorrow, though]:

1) A Bug's Life
2) The Incredibles
3) Toy Story 2
4) Toy Story
5) Finding Nemo
6) Wall*E
7) Monsters, Inc.
8) Cars
9) Ratatouille

Looking at that list is really a testament to how wonderful Pixar's character-centric films are. Every one of those films is so far superior to the standard family-film fare (Gooby!!!) and, may I say so, many better than standard films. Period. Even Cars, which is generally accepted as the least of the Pixar films is better than most of what we'll get at the cinema.

The teaser work like gangbusters for me. Seeing the characters all together again definitely hooks me in immediately. Call it nostalgia, but I am genuinely excited to see these characters. And that Don Rickles is still living.

If I had to hazard a guess as to who'd be replacing the late, great Jim Varney as Slinky Dog, it'd probably be either -

a) Jeff Foxworthy

or

b) A somewhat toned-down Larry the Cable Guy

SD seemed to have the kind of blue-collar hick inflection that either of these two could handily pull off.

Did I just see Wall*E fuck a vacuum cleaner?

I absolutely can think of a way they could do an Incredibles sequel that wouldn't be a rehash or redundant (well, I think so. Who knows, really?) but obviously there's no point unless Brad Bird is really into the idea. I guess Cars is their "cash in" franchise, where they can crank out movies and nobody cares that it "ruins" the first one. Hey, if it makes the kids happy and keeps Pixar in gravy, I'm happy.

While I'm sure Toy Story 3 will be great--and I'm intrigued by the idea that they'll be dealing with Andy growing up--I'm actually more interested in "The Bear and the Bow" right now.

Here's an image a friend found online. He's a Pixar nut. Possibly character concepts for Bear and the Bow.

By the way, is it just me, or has the Woody/Buzz rivalry been kept alive more in the advertising than in the movies themselves at this point?

I see a Bow, so where's the Bear?

No idea. But I believe one of the women in the bottom corner is Brenda Chapman.

I'm just goofing. Thanks for that. Any glimpse at new Pixar whets my appetite.

Can't see that link mcnooj. Would you mind reposting (BTW I love your location in your sig!).

I am not that crazy about an "Incredibles" sequel, I just think it would make more sense then a "Cars" sequel.
But I agree that doing a variation on the Toy Story 2 trailer for 3 was brilliant. People really pay to see Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the Gang with plot being secondary.
I am not surprised that Andy growing up will be a main story point. I think that was pretty much foreshadowed in Toy Story 2.
There is a story making the rounds that the plot will be the Toys being given to a Day Care Center. I could see this working very well, but I could also see it not working at all. Does'nt matter, I will see it and so will just about everybody else.

what, no Finding Nemo 2: the Quickening?

Buzz Lightyear = The role Tim Allen was born to play, and makes me forgive all the Santa Claus movies.

I wonder what He and Hanks are paid for the voice jobs?

I know IMDB is not always to be trusted but according to his bio $50,000 for the first Toy Story and 5 Million for the second. So I only assume a hell of a lot more for the third.
