Wow people still watch this? Let me guess, during the best fight award they show a bunch of cool fight scenes that some choreographer worked very hard on and then en stiller wins for fighting a little dog.

Although im gonna guess fake. I just saw a real time clip on youtube and he was lowered so slow eminem had plenty of time to move.
I normally hate awards shows but Samberg & company did a bang up job.

And Sasha Baron Cohen justified Eminem's entire existence.

But amazing anyways

Efron doesn't look very tall.

Eminem has the worst luck with fictional characters at the MTV Movie Awards.

Zachary Quinto's reaction to the Eminem 69ing was funnier than the act itself.

At 23, I am officially too old for this shit. I looked at the guest list prior to the show and I couldn't care less for any of the people there, save for the Star Trek gang. Just watched this bit on Youtube, and left it at that. Kind of sad since I used to make a point of watching this show.

It's kind of a rite of passage when you decide to stop watching MTV award shows.
Technically at 23 you're still within their demographic.

You're 23?! Oh fuck you. I vaguely recall 23.

Haven't watched these awards in years - I just can't . . . let myself.

I can't stop watching. It's like passing a car wreck. You have to rubberneck.

What does it mean if you've never watched MTV award shows?

Nope. Not when a wreck is cringingly unfunny.

I work for the damn company and I don't watch these, either. The Stanley Cup finals were on. I ain't missing those.

What is this "Stanley Cup" that you speak of?
I have a hard time believing Eminem was in on this.

The fact that Cohen didn't leave riddled in bullets should be proof enough.
Haha. Eminem is not Suge Knight. He just has no sense of humor.

You kids need to get off my lawn.

Cohen's manager:
"So Eminem, how would you like to help Sasha B. Cohen promote his new movie Bruno by having him teabag you in a fashion that will make people believe it's real? You should react in a pathetic, girlish manner and end up leaving the show not to return. Afterwards, and for all eternity, youtube videos and animated gifs will fill the Internets of Cohen's cleanly shaved balls dangling in front of your squeamish face. It will be 100% greatness for Cohen and laughable for you!"

Eminem:
"Great, let's roll!"
I'm sure Sasha Baron Cohen had the whole thing planned but Eminem doesn't look in on it. I've seen 8 Mile and he's not that good of an actor. Besides, his entourage looked mighty pissed.
I can see it go either way. Baron's whole schtick is that his target's aren't in on the joke. But at the same time, the MTV movie awards have had an ongoing gag with Eminem for years. Honestly, does it matter either way? Not really. Cuz either way you look at it, Baron's nutsack was in Em's face. That's damn funny.
Yeah, the ready-to-go and perfectly composed Steadi-Cam shot of Eminem leaving the hall (just inches from him the whole fist-free walk out) really suggests that he wasn't in on it.
Yeah it's not like they have 4 dozen cameras focused and ready to go at all times in a place like that
post #30 of 44
Yeah, I highly doubt that MTV would risk pissing off one of their most popular stars. He was in on it, and the mainstream press yapping about it is free publicity for his piece of shit album.
There can be levels of "in on it" (close up shot of Eminem looking up way before Cohen lands on him says the showrunners knew), and Eminem might have agreed to something, without specifically knowing the gag. But the way the posse gingerly and ineffectively handle Cohen in an attempt to get him off Eminem tells you everything.
I think they told Eminem that Cohen's rig would "fail" over his seat and that they would make it seem like he would come close to crashing on him or something. But the actual stunt of Bruno pressing his ass and nutsack against Eminem's face was left out of the briefing.

Also the fact that the whole crew left the lot instead of just going to the backstage tells a lot. Anyway, wouldn't Eminem's people have said something by now if it was a planned stunt?
Are you guys really trying to figure out whether or not a bit at an awards show was pre-planned? Eminem just had an album come out last week and Cohen's got a movie coming out this summer, it's called promotion.

You missed the "fist free" component. But then you often have a tendency to talk about things you know nothing about. I especially enjoyed the way you attacked people's opinions of TERMINATOR SALVATION before you had even seen it.

Also, I love how Eminem's security posse sits there calmly while Em hams it up between Bruno's legs. Yeah, they really sprang into action.
I saw it last night, pretty damn funny. Can't say the same for the rest of the show. I haven't watched these awards in their entirety since 2002 when Jack Black hosted. One thing is for sure that a movie like The Dark Knight would have won over something like Twilight if this was 1999, unless there was a There's Something About Mary-esque comedy around.

If they added onto the end that Em would then be in the next movie from the writer/creator of Borat, and that it would prove he can take a joke and he's grown up from the Triumph incident, then yes, I can see it going something like that.

You have better time management skills. Or taste.

MTV didn't seem to mind that he wasn't in on the Triumph stunt. MTV often bites the hand that feeds them, though its more than likely Em was in on this this one.

You do it quite often and I'm hardly the first to call you on it. You went off in multiple font sizes when someone expessed that they didn't like how the opening titles repeated the title of the film in the same sequence. It's okay to disagree but considering you were being your usual condescending self without having seen the film, yeah, I think an apology would be in order. Not that you're going to give one.

WWTDD

Word is Em was in on the prank such that he knew Baron would fall on him. He just didn't know it would be bare assed. Also, Paris Hilton was Sacha's first choice and she declined.

We get CHUD live chat for the Oscars and not these? Come on, the quotes that this could generate would be the stuff of legend.
Yeah, but could our sanity survive? I don't think it's worth the risk.
