I'm curious about how much processing Natal does internally or if it takes up processing capability from the 360.

It might have been, I only ever bought 2.

The Milo demo is hypnotic. Whilst I appreciate it'd never work like that for any of us - taking into account the factors and prerecorded audio for his reactions, it's still fun to watch.

Doesn't it look like an entirely seperate entity? No reason why it couldn't be used on the next Xbox.
Looked like a Fable 3 tech demo to me.
As far as tech demos go, Milo is pretty damn impressive. It's creepy, which is saying something when you're talking about AI simulation and interactive worlds.
Yeah, Sony and Nintendo got destroyed. Unless they reveal that the PS3 will vacuum homes and cook for people, Microsoft hit all quadrants here.

You only want the Xbox 720 so that PS3 wins this round (and by this I mean comes in dead second) by default.
I'm glad that Mass Effect 2 wasn't shown in the 360 conference. I'm holding out hope that my brother will be able to get it for his PS3.

As for the Natal, it looks interesting but did you guys see how wonky the movements were when he was showing the avatar move with his body? Also, we know from the Wii and PS3 that fake steering wheels with no feedback are useless, why keep demoing that?

I think the tech is quite interesting but I'll have to see it in person before I'm really convinced.

I agree with you on that. There isn't any one console or company that's my favorite, I'm just a fan of what looks like the most fun, and NATAL looks like it's the beginning of all of the crazy gaming stuff I always thought about happening in the future.

What?

The eyetoy from the PS2 can be used on this generation's hardware. Seemed like common sense, introducing something like this without having to worry about it being obselete in a year.

Do console wars really happen on this board? I assumed the discourse here was of a higher pedigree than that.
I can't believe I'm saying it, but after today's press conference, I want a 360.

Mass Effect 2 is being talked about during the EA conference at 7:00 EST, if they're going to make any announcements it'll probably be there.

Do I really have to use smileys to denote sarcasm?

Left 4 Dead 2 looks like some more crazy multiplayer fun...I mean the Charger looks great!
Where's the video for L4D 2?
Left4Dead with chainsaws might make me get over my seething hatred for that game.

IGN has half a dozen up on their site.

Yes, but if it were going to be 360/PC Exclusive it seems like they probably would have made that announcement during the MS press conference.

Evidently so. You got me.

And i guess my plans for saving for a PS3 are no longer in motion...I mean, now the only exclusive Sony has that interests me is "Heavy Rain".
Unless the console drops price, i dont see a PS3 in my future.

Well, I'm not a huge gamer and I already own a Wii. But Netflix in HD, plus the great game library, the potential of Project Natal and the lower price point is making it difficult to resist.

How awesome is the New Orleans setting for LFD2 ?=

What's the lower price point?

(Yes, I could google. Be nice.)
I'm all for more L4D, but why release something like this so soon on another disc. Before this I never thought of Valve as a company who found a way to nickle and dime people.
Am I the only one not really interested in waving my arms about in front of a sensor to play a video game?

Yeah, Heavy Rain's going to be a classic.

It's so weird having both a PS3 and a 360. It's like having one fun, charming, good looking kid and one weird kid who's good at math but might have mild autism.

L4D2 looks amazing. Daylight campaigns.

I would raise my hand, but that would be too labor-intensive.
Thanks guys for the links to the L4D 2 videos.

It's very awesome. I'm currently watching the gameplay videos right now for L4D2. So glad that the action is during the day. Plus hitting zombies in the head with an axe = WIN.

It was kind of sarcastic because they didn't really announce anything besides being able to browse the instant play movies from the console. But the XBL video service announced full 1080p instant movie streams.
The best news for me so far is Monkey Island.
L4D2 needs to have cameos for the original characters. I want to rescue Bill from a Zombie POW camp!

Didn't mean to sound assholish about it, I'm just trying to convince myself that a PS3 version is a possibility. If it isn't I'll have to start feeling worse about not trying harder to convince my brother to get a 360 instead of the PS3.
Btw Alex, maybe is just me, but every article with the Videos embedded works kinda funny. The video appears way way way in the bottom of the page after a long black space. I missed it at first.
The PS3 still has the blu-ray player thing going for it, but that may not be enough.

So are you supposed to be the autistic one?

How did the Sony conference go then? I must have missed them dropping the ball this year.

Lol, awesome. Thank you. Those are cool features at least.
Interestingly, MS is also going to be offering downloadable versions of current 360 games via XBL. If I didn't still have the 20GB drive I'd be more interested. If they eventually do rentals that way though, I may do that.

New games will be offered each week.

Microsoft points will not be required, as the service will support credit card purchases.

Whitten declined to say how closely the games will be released to regular retail releases. Prices were not announced.

Did they announce a new price point for the 360? I haven't been able to find one in any of my searching.
No, it's still the same price $200 for the arcade. It's just cheaper than a Wii or any other console system besides the PS2.
