Well, I'm not sure how much damage shaving causes to your skin long term but anyway, I'll agree that everyone is motivated by vanity and insecurity
to a degree.
But where does someone cross the line and become downright obsessed with their appearance? Have you only crossed the line if you go full on Michael Jackson, or is deciding to get painful surgery done on yourself at all for the sake of vanity considered to be weird? Is a little collagen injection and implant here and there acceptable but someone turning into Jenna Jameson unacceptable?
Is Scary Spice's obvious workout obsession acceptable and attractive while someone like Chyna is unattractive? Where do we draw the line? Who decides this stuff? (I think the answer to that one might be clit penis.... but anyway... you know what I mean)
In the end it's not
that big a deal to me what other people choose to do with their own bodies, and I know to an extent it is just a matter of taste. But personally I find feeling the need to get major surgery on yourself just for the sake of vanity to be going a bit too far, same with bulking up at the gym until you're unnaturally large and veiny. What can I say, it's just a major turn off for me.
