I concur Richard. She's not attractive anymore.

It makes me sad to think of all the people wasting large chunks of their lives in gyms to achieve that hideous plastic GI Joe doll look with the veins and ripply muscles.
Maybe I just don't relate to the rest of humanity that much but how is it attractive again? It doesn't matter if we're talking about a guy or a girl, when I see someone with that hideous body builder physique my first thought is disgust at how they look and my second thought is sadness that they spent hours and hours doing repetitive exercises to make themselves look like that on purpose. Personally I'd rather be a little squishy and curvy if it means I have time to live my life rather than devoting it all to worrying about what I eat or how many crunches I do in a day... I still think it's great to be in shape and have some muscle tone but there is such a thing as overkill! |

I read somewhere that there was a point during our hunter/ gatherer days where the average human body looked like it was ripped out of a comic book.
However, I don't see why people that were disciplined enough to get in premium shape should be put down while people that "enjoy" life by not moving around all day should be put up. No one ever said that the ripped Men's/Women's Health magazine bodies should be the average standard, but saying that it's not "attractive" isn't entirely fair. It is our "ideal" in health and beauty. Just like Olympic athletes are our ideal representation of human potential in sports. There will always be an ideal form of beauty that the majority of society won't attain. As always though, it won't affect people getting getting married, having babies or getting on with their lives. I don't see why people shouldn't devote themselves to it the same way one could put their energy into anything else. Does Bill Gates really need all that money ? It kind of reminds me of intelligent people being called "eggheads" and being picked on because they devoted their energy to a particular field of study. Not everyone gets disciplined and in shape for body image alone. However, for someone like Mel B, who is in the Entertainment Business and has an image to maintain, it's not entirely a bad thing for her to have a nice body. Either way I'm sure there's something you yourself have devoted more energy to than anyone else that didn't affect the way you enjoy life. For you maybe enjoying life means not doing a bunch of repetitive exercises, but for others it doesn't really affect anything. There are people out there who thrive and draw pride simply from self discipline. I hope you did not take offense to anything I typed here. I'm simply trying to make a point. I apologize if I seemed rude about anything. |

Godspeed. She creeps the fuck out of me. I have an extremely difficult time imagining how that creature could possible be interested in *anything* other than how she is perceived.
And I sincerely doubt that she would ever deign to touch a penis, lest she get sweaty or gross. |
|
Not to mention that she appears to be a giant See You Next Tuesday. Ever see her monumentally uncomfortable interview with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show from earlier in the decade?

I think my problem with female-bodybuilding (not female fitness in general), is that they need breast implants to retain any vestige of femininity in the extreme cases.

Actually, I liked Ginger the most - she seemed nicely trampy.

This is madness. Well, unless you just don't like breasts.
NSFW: Before and After Seriously, there's no comparison in those pictures. None. I am a boob man, without question. Can't get enough, and I will do stupid things for boobs. I appreciate natural ones as well. Some ladies, though, just can't or don't want to pull it off. Implants are a wonderful, wonderful thing. |
|
There's nothing lumpy about the picture I posted. A gal I know now has a pair that are out of this world and are better than any natural ones I've had since I was a young punk in college.
To each their own, but the broad generalizations are crazy. Would you prefer some nice orange-in-a-sock naturals? |

Foot binding was as much about keeping women subservient as it was about aesthetics.
