New DUNWICH HORROR adaptation

I don’t have much faith in the director (Asylum alum ewww), but the trailer looks interesting. Plus, Dean Stockwell (in a different role) & Jeffrey Combs (of course)! And was that booby?

It's not Gordon, but... I'll give any Lovecraft take a fair shake. It can't be worse than BEYOND THE WALLS OF SLEEP.

EDIT: Has anyone heard of or seen the version that came out last year called BEYOND THE DUNWICH HORROR?
70s Grindhouse-y Trailer.

DVD Review? Not available at Netflix at the moment. Hmmm.

Interesting. Trailer makes it look fairly decent, but trusting an Asylum driector seems like a losing idea. And yes, that was a very fake booby.

I can't tell if that music was lifted directly from The Beyond, but it worked on me. Looks fun if low (tiny)budgeted.

Anyone know what happened to the Whisperers in Darkness movie? Figured it would have released by now.

I saw this Dunwich adaptation. It was petty bad. Stockwell was awful.

That trailer is awful. And not in the sense of instilling awe

Bummer. Where'd you catch it? Film festival? Stockwell was pretty cheesy (but still creepy) in the original IIRC.

It's currently showing on FEAR.net On Demand. pickin's been pret-ty slim 'round those parts lately.

I thought just for a nostalgic goof I'd watch The Toxic Avenger, which FEAR.net is also showing. I got a bone to pick with them; they edited out ALL the over the top gore. No smashed bike rider head, no arm ripped off or blistery hands in the deep fryer or milkshake maker down the throat in the taco restaurant (I dejectedly stopped watching at that point, as they had eviscerated - and not in the good way - my favorite scene). All the hottie blond delectibly tan lined tits remained, though. One has to wonder why this is. I mean, it's not like Toxie has a lot going for it if you take out the gore. That's what made it fun was how outrageous it was. They show other things (like the MIdnight Meat Train's POV decap, for instance) w/o censoring them. What gives here?

Sorry rant over.
