Cliffhanger - Page 2

Uzi!!!!!!!!!1

The Treasury agent with the uzi is one of the best parts of the film. I love UZIs!!!!!!!!!

And the "using a guy as a snow sled" scene. And the LET'S RUN REAL FAST AWAY FROM THE EXPLODING BRIDGE SCENE. And the "repeling down along the side of the cliff face before the DAMN OLD ASS ROPE SNAPS" scene. And the "let's kick the shit out of Michael Rooker but OOPS! He Killed me" scene. (Great blood effects in that one especially, and the movie as a whole.)

Let's face it. Cliffhanger is a great, fun movie that does exactly what it's supposed to do. It entertains at all costs. This supposed reputation of being a bad movie is completely unfounded. And frankly, I enjoyed those pre-9/11 days when action films didn't take themselves 100% seriously. Although the ones that DO take themselves so seriously aren't bad either.

Check out his expression at around 0'14. Creepy as hell! Maybe the actor playing Frank wanted to play the bad guy or something.

Yup... That's good ol' Frank for you. He always finds the positive side of everything.

He's even grinning like a moron when they shoot him dead.

.....

Ralph Waite is not a very good actor.

Gotta echo the love for this film. Yes, it's loaded with cheese right and left but if this comes on tv i usually got watch it through. Though watching the edited version on TNT, TBS, basic cable etc. is probably not really worth it.

The only thing this movie is missing is a cameo by David Caruso showing up and asking Travers, "What happen here Frank..., wait, you're not the Frank I know.???"

Regardless of what you think of this movie, someone must really like it cause they decided to go the remake route: http://news-brief.ew.com/2009/5/14/cliffhanger-rem/
