I finally saw this and yeah it's great. It had just the right mix of idiots, dirty humour and trippy visuals.

I really hope this achieves cult status. Love this.

Saw this on HBO Family (HA!) on vacation, and what a pleasant surprise! Everyone here is very funny, particularly McBride, and the goofiness of the plot and special effects had me smiling. I particularly love how Grumpy actually has a lot of character in his animation despite looking cheap-but-strangely-beautiful, and the Sleestak suits are a thing of beauty.

And yeah, NOT for children at all. I was gobsmacked by how bloody this movie gets, particularly when the female Allosaurus explodes, as well as the profanity. For some reason "You're a little asshole, Chaka!" has become one of my favorite lines, as well as the "Mexican Vasectomy" thing.

I finally caught it a month or so ago and really liked it a lot. You really can't go wrong with me as long as you have Danny McBride in your film/show, and I almost always love Will Ferrell too (although ironically the only time I really remember disliking a Will Ferrell performance was in Eastbound And Down).

The harshness of the humour combined with the brilliant look of the whole thing totally sold me on it and I laughed my ass all the way off. More surprisingly my girlfriend, who prefers more conventional comedy, liked it a lot too, although I suspect her of harbouring a secret Will Ferrell crush which might have something to do with it.

this is waaaaay better than I expected it to be. Count me in as a fan of Chaka!

Very funny. I wasn't expecting much, but I figured a Ferrell/McBride movie had to have some gold in it. Glad I sat down and watched this.

Ferrell sliding down Grumpy was fantastic.

Caught the last third again yesterday, from about the scene where the Ferrell, McBride and Chaka are high and hanging out in the desert motel swimming pool. It's so, so fucking silly, and I loved it so much I couldn't stop myself from watching all the way to the end.

This movie has captured my heart.
