You can see the killer instinct in his eyes in that top pic. I think your safety is assured if you take him crypto hunting with you.

So much new content!

Firstly, love the hostile takeovers of the delightfully devious Scrump & Fugly.. frankly they read my very thoughts when it came to the lack of Lake Monster Gynecology jokes. A Plesio-SORE-ASS? Incredible! Don't be too harsh on the lil' fellows..

Secondly, I'm convinced now that the Bandersnatch wikipedia entry was written by a certain Crypto-cally inclined individual, specially when reading lines like

Quote:
It is not stated whether there are non-frumious Bandersnatches, or whether these can be approached safely
Regardless, the research in there was very well adapted to your Crypto report (you have quite a gift of language, not too galumphing at all) and it bears repeating: LOVE the video footage bits. There's a consistant and stylish docu feel to them that tickles me pink. Keep those coming please.

Won't leave it so long between comments anymore! Great stuff as always sir

Now with sighting/expedition MAPS (courtesy of Google)!

I'm still tweaking this feature. I'd like to have custom icons, etc... Anyone have experience with that?

Loved the Mothman illustration, but Ol' Squatchy really topped it! You were totally snubbed on that Best in Show/Honorable Mention nod, but as we both know.. its all crypto-politics. Way to tease on that El Crypto oil portrait though.

You do, however, owe everyone an apology for introducing us to the Vampirates book series.

When a high-profile pirate is slain, the Pirate Federation takes decisive action and begins training up a ship of dedicated vampire hunters.
Amongst the dynamic crew is young pirate prodigy Connor Tempest. Meanwhile, Connor's twin sister Grace enjoys a bittersweet reunion with their mother, Sally, who has some important and shocking news for her daughter. As Grace uncovers the truth about her family's past, she realizes that..

UGH!

May it all be buried in the deepest reaches of the ocean, guarded eternally by a surly Leviathan.

So, there aren't any awesome scenes of pirates blowing off vampires' heads with chain-shot?

What's the use of pairing vampires and pirates if we don't get that?

Wow. Big break between posts. Too big.

Open up, and there I go? Part 1

Starting to feel like a lackey or yes man, but damnit.. this stuff is so consistently entertaining that I cannot tolerate lack of feedback.

The whole raptor captor story was equal parts epic and hilarious, from the absurd ads (#1 game for the past 17 months? Out of what, dinosaur themed ticket spitters?) to the intricate details of recollection (unfortunate orthodontal appliances indeed). Love the seemingly fish-out-of-water dialogue you use in these and the peppering of great words like Daedalean that surely don't get enough use these days.

And something about the hippopotamus/top to bottomus G&F WNW headline made me do a spit-take with laughter. Great stuff! Soon as they start publishing your work instead of bogus reports of your demise, consider me a subscriber!

Yesssssss, I've got a huge back log of the Crypto-Hunter to get through.

DARKMITE8, between this and your posts in the Unexplained thread, you are an utter delight.

Thanks! Feel free to return with feedback (and/or pass the blog on to friends/enemies). Nice to see some fresh faces. Trejo's starting to eat all the Jersey-deviled eggs...

Not that I can blame him.

Did you know that Jersey-deviled eggs and applesauce are a delicacy in Sweden?

I've been trying my damnedest to scare up some Crypto-sightings around town but so far I've been met with some bum luck; I'm going to prowl hard when I'm in NYC later this week. And work on memorizing the Cryto Scout law in case I run into conflict with the local authorities on the matter!

RAWR-mageddon: Terrifying, hilarious, or both? Pray we never find out..

I hope you backtracked through the previous months' worth.

There will be a quiz later.

Finally, some Ghouls Gone Wild love. Big fan, have all their albums, including the rare Dead at Altamont bootleg. That's the one where the band got midway through the first song before attacking and devouring most of the front row.

The screams are INCREDIBLE.

Thanks guys! I'm particularly proud of the on-the-lens fly, the rhumba demo that starts and stops with the keyboard head bashing, and the wet crunch at the "stage dive". My 5 year old daughter (pitch lowered) is one of the munching zombies as the screen goes black at the end.

I've got some leftover Halloween stuff to post 1st, but I thought I'd announce a monstrous (and Christmas-y)Rankin Bass tribute that I'm working on. Building the puppets as we speak. I know it's a little late, but job-hunting and unpacking post-move has been the priority. Apologies.

Been taking quite a long break from this (although I went on MANY expeditions around the continent and captured a TON of pics), but I thought I would post this pic, showing off a character I designed (and that a friend sewed). Will be using him in some sort of capacity as soon as I find a new image-hosting site. flickr doesn't allow access to original files anymore, unless you pay for it. So no pngs with transparencies as they convert all display images to jpgs now. They consider themselves "photo sharing" and not "photo hosting". They suck now IMO. But here he is anyway...

SOXQUATCH

EDIT: Can anyone recommend a reliable, free, easy pic-hosting site that won't convert my images, allows png uploads, and won't be stingy with an overall upload limit?

Thanks,

-The Crypto Scout
