Lost Season 6: News and Speculation - Page 10

I caved...I downloaded the bootleg, but turned it off because I couldn't understand a fucking word of dialogue...it's unwatchable.
I'm totally jacked to get jacked up on some more Jackface.

I'll be watching it live on broadcast for the first time since the 3rd season, as I have Tuesday nights off from work now. No more staying up til 3am waiting for the high res upload to the torrent sites.
Pumped for the new season, but unfortunately will be watching the premiere via DVR. Michigan State heads to Wisconsin for a huge game and I gotta watch my Spartans. I'm pretty sure they are gonna lose, but I can't watch a sporting event on DVR.
Anybody know what time the actual show starts on Tuesday? Are they doing one of those recap episode before or does the episode proper begin at eight?
Recap then 2-Hour Finale I believe. Also, 9. Left that out.

You really just killed my buzz with that one. Why do we have to play 9pm games on super tuesday. Damn ESPN for that.

Ok, that was beyond retarded of me. Thanks for pointing it out.

Few more minutes from the premiere concerning Locke, Anti-Locke, Ben, and Richard (officially released, not bootlegged):

Anyone watch the new promo? It seems to confirm that (spoilers) The Man In Black, aka The Anti Locke, is the smoke monster? Ben asks him what he is, and we see Locke move into a shadow. We see a shot of someone (Ben?) being grabbed by smokey and swung around in what looks like the inside of the statue. We also see someone shoot a gun at smokey.(end spoilers)

Gah! I gotta stop spoiling myself. Although I'm now more pumped for Tuesday night than I ever was.

Can you post a link to that?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it here. It's the clip marked "No more questions, only answers."
....buncha enabling sonsabitches you are
Definitely don't need to see that clip. It's a relief to know that they are all actually in the beginning of the show...unless the clip is of the 5 seconds before they disappear into a wormhole until 2/3 through the season.

As long as it isn't like the beginning of Season 5. Richard: "Sup John! Ready to lead us? Want some island secrets? Well, let's start with how drinking polar bear blood gives you eternal li-"*FLASH!!!!!!*

I know it's taken out of context, but some things in that clip felt worryingly ... silly.

How annoying that we have to wait until Friday night for this, what a crap night for a show like this.

Gonna have to go dark as of tomorrow night, no way I could avoid everything for 3 days, grr.

As I proposed earlier we should do 100 greatest moments of Lost'.

1. the moment linked above. Scarred John Locke explains backgammon to Walt.
2. "We have to go back Kate...We have to go back."
3. Season 4, Ep. 5, The Constant...best episode of Lost, best episode of any TV show I've ever seen.
4. Ben: Of course, if I was one of them -- these people that you seem to think are your enemies -- what would I do? Well, there'd be no balloon, so I'd draw a map to a real secluded place like a cave or some underbrush -- good place for a trap -- an ambush. And when your friends got there a bunch of my people would be waiting for them. Then they'd use them to trade for me. I guess it's a good thing I'm not one of them, huh? You guys got any milk?

By the looks of that trailer, it appears Anti-Locke has taken poor confused grieving Sawyer under his wing. This does not look good for our good ol' southern boy.
Oh and:

5. All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues. I still remember my frame of mind watching the end of it, going from "Of course they're not gonna kill of Charlie" to "Oh my Christ, they just killed Charlie" to "Damn them!" to "The fucking BALLS on this show..."

Phenomenal acting by Fox and Lily in this scene. Just the looks on both their faces as they realize Charlie's dead...
6. Sayid confessing to Ana Lucia

"Should you kill me? Perhaps. Perhaps...you were meant to kill me."
7. Ben showing us that he's a complete badass in "The Shape Of Things To Come."
8. Eko stares down the Smoke monster in The 23rd Pslam, and we pass through it, revealing to us how it "scans" people. This scene also contains the line "What are you going to do? Beat me with your Jesus stick?", so its a favorite.

Should we start a thread in the List section of the forum?

9. "We Hunt!"

Locke makes his first major appearance in Season 1 by throwing his knife into a Plane Cushion. Badass entry by Locke. And he spends the rest of Season 1 doing his wise mystic sage thing.

I like that Locke better personally.

10. Hurley rushes into the caves to reveal that Ethan wasn't on the plane. cut to charlie and claire in the jungle being surprised by Ethan, who is making the creepiest face in the history of television.
11. The first few minutes of Man of Science, Man of Faith. A great way to introduce us to the Hatch and to Desmond, also succeeds at making Mama Cass creepy.
12. Male bonding.

I always wished Yemi did that in season 3. If Anti-Locke does it I'll be stoked.

And: 13. "If you wanted me to believe this, you probably should have picked somebody else, besides the Red Sox."

I guess they didn't do that because of the lack of budget. And some viewers would had run away.
14. Dr. Arzt's chemistry field trip.
15. "Don't tell me what I can't do!"

I can watch that scene over and over again and it still hits me.

Oh and...OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG, TONIGHT!!!! :: hyperventilates, passes out ::
16. "Checkmate, Mr. Eko."

On most shows, when a main character leaves, their impact diminishes. With Hurley, even without getting the actors back as guest stars (like with Ana Lucia) they still remind us of those who didn't make it out alive.
17. Four-toed Statue
18. "You don't believe there is a plane?"

"I know there is a plane."

Love this Cat and Mouse scene between Sayid and Locke in Season 1. Each of them trying to outmaneuver each other.

Truth of the matter is, Sayid is a much better leader than Jack and Locke. He's rarely been wrong in any of his decisions in Seasons 1-3.

For the most part I agree with you, but he kinda ballsed up the S2 finale Others-offensive.

"You guys move through the jungle - you know, the jungle that the Others can navigate soundlessly and without being tracked, where we always encounter them. I'm gonna get on this boat, assume that they're lying in wait in a highly visible location and attack all of them at once, despite not knowing their capabilities."

"What if we need your help in the meantime? Why don't you follow us without Michael's knowledge?"

"Ah, but you see, I'll be on the boat. On the water. Miles and miles away from you so I won't know if something goes wrong."

Good plan.
Agreed. That was a really asinine plan by Jack in that Season 2 finale.

I just finished a Seasons 1-3 marathon, and it just struck how unlikeable Kate, Jack are. Jack in particular is so bullheaded and every guy Kate comes into contact with seems to go to shit. Locke...I just pity.

Why is she so insistant on getting home anyway? The only thing she can look forward to is a Jail cell.
19. A meteor hits Hurley's brand new chicken shack.

Only on Lost can this happen and not seem odd in the slightest.

The link is fine here.
Someone rename the thread to have the word spoilers in the title then.

edit: George Lucas actually wrote them a letter.

Quote:
The Suit started off by saying that he had invited this person but he was unable to come, but sent a note in his stead: It was addressed to Damon and Carlton and talked about how in 1977 he had no idea where Star Wars was going to go either. He also talked about how you have to say that you planned this all in advance, as opposed to making this up as you go along. After discussing how big a fan of LOST he was, he signs the letter "George Lucas."
Spoilers I guess still in black?

>How do you think fake Locke will try to destroy the island? That doesn't sound... easy.<
