Where will I vomit on frat boys now?

The Georgia Theater done burnt down.
Sad to see an Athens landmark/hellhole go like that. I have no recollection of alot of the shows I saw there.

I spent a whole lot of time there, much of which is now a (purple) haze.* Movie wise, that was where I saw Lebowski for the first time, along with multiple viewings of Swingers, Chasing Amy and Fear & Loathing. Bands, let's see, a million Dayroom shows, Ben Folds Five, Mishap, Squat, Dick Dale, Arlo Guthrie, Jump Little Children, Strutter the KISS tribute band, Matt "Guitar" Murphy. Goddammit. Athfest is next week, too.


*Because I drank a lot of Purple Haze there. The joke works on multiple levels, you see?
