| Which would be the completely wrong approach for something like "Creep show". In order to function as an homage to the old E.C. Comics, the stories in "Creep show" need to be a little silly and absurd. A heavy-handed and serious approach to the material would only result in an obnoxious self-parody. |
Which is fine, but I was thinking along the lines of The Long Walk. The thing is the way the story is written is as the eating you from the inside out virus boy horror variety. A young director could have adapted the concept into a creepy tale, or the incredibly corny way over the top Creep show version. For Creep show it was fine.
At least I've seen it, and I know what the hell people are talking about when they reference it. I'm one step further away from other young guys like Alex Billingfuck.
