Yeah, I'm thinking it would have to be a very significant amount of time. You know, considering that 40 years in the bowels of hell being tortured and then eventually torturing other souls seemed to have basically no effect on him.

So yeah, at least 5 years of marriage I'd say.*

*Obligatory bad marriage joke.

That seems about right, considering on the finale Chuck mentions how Dean won't being seeing Bobby for a long time, flash forwarding a couple of years seems right.

They had like an entire season of him dealing with the guilt of what he did in Hell.

40 years! Dean has spent the majority of his life in Hell. I feel like that adds up to more than a few somber-side-of-the-road-with-a-couple-beers conversations with his brother.

Minor nitpick I guess. But it's something that always frustrated me a bit.

Ausiello has a chat with Eric Kripke about season 6.

Kripke drops some nice little nuggets about the upcoming season. I particularly like the fact that he mentions that Cas and Crowley will return, as well as the exploration of the mythology of the creatures Sam and Dean hunt. Oddly, no mention of Domingo. How sad.

There's also that anime project coming up, that's a best of from the first two seasons and some original stories. That should be interesting.

Fixed that for you.

I don't know, I'm kinda interested by it.

I hate anime but maybe the format could allow them to do creatures and gore that they aren't able to do on the show. That might be the only saving grace.

With this anime adaptation, I can only assume that the Winchesters will finally be able to take on the growing menace of tentacle rape.

Well, I'd call that a big yes to Cthulhu.

Considering the state of both the series' fandom and the state of anime in general they'll probably end up taking on each other.

10 bucks says that they open the new season by having Sam break into Dean's house, Dean waking up to investigate, and the two of them tussling ala the first season premiere.

It'd be a nice inversion of the pilot episode.

Great minds think alike, Custer. I don't know what that has to do with us, but still...

Damn it you two, that's how I was going to suggest they start the season. Now we just need a hot chick in skimpy clothes. . . oh wait, we actually just need the skimpy clothes. I recently purchased and rewatched the first season. It was much stronger than I remembered it being.
That makes four. I'm afraid that it could mean Dean's lady love ends up on the ceiling on fire. Hopefully that isn't the case.

DEAN: We're hunters, Sam! It's in our bloods! It's what we do!

SAM: I know, Dean! I get that! But why are we hunting down monsters when what we're really chasing...is love.

*Sam, with his demonic power, draws forth a tentacle from beneath his jacket. It slowly circle's Dean's pouty, anxious mouth*

SAM: We can't run anymore.

DEAN: Sammy...I'm scared.

*Sam's tentacle calmly wraps around Dean's amulet, pulling him in close*

SAM: We have nothing to fear...together.

*Passionate Wincest action!*

Alright, I admit it. I spend all my spare time writing Wincest fan fiction. There's just so many great stories to tell!

Like that time Sam and Dean fought the Wendigo...and then had sex with each other!

Or how, after Sam brutally decapitated Gordon Walker, Dean consoled him...and they had sex with each other!

Granted, I do mess with series canon a bit here and there. Like with my tale of Sam following Dean into the depths of hell...so they can have sex with each other!

Hey think you could work incest into the racist truck episode?
Are you kidding me? Whether it be Supernatural or an episode of the Care Bears, our Mr. Coombs can spice it up with some incest.
I don't know man that truck like REALLY hated blacks, I don't know if there is room for incest.

It's true. I'm considered the V.C. Andrews of the fan fiction circuit.

Nonsense. Wincest is like JELL-O.

Just look at jealous Sam here.

"So her name's Cassie, huh? You never mentioned her."

"Our big family rule number one. We do what we do and we shut up about it!"

Priceless.

On a different note - this.

If I recall correctly, that episode takes place in the Deep South. You do the math.

In my defense, he appears to have eaten the rest of the McCallister family since Kevin got lost in New York.
This is from WAY upthread, but I'm just now watching the series, and wanted to read the initial commentary from the episodes.

But that guy was BUZZ from Home Alone 2? My mouth literally dropped open. Now I'm going to have to google him to find out what else he's done, and how often I've ignored him.

Count on me to remind us all of the old adage "read before you post."

On my wishlist for this season: a more consistent sense of a larger universe.

I... I don't understand. I'm about the biggest "Supernatural" apologist on these boards and even I know that "Route 666" is horrible trash (which shares that dubious distinction with "Bugs").

What do you mean? Sam and Dean fight the after effects of the extreme racism of the 70's........LITERALLY!

I'm hoping they finally kill Meg. Her appointment with death due to the boys is long overdue.

I couldn't make it through 2 seconds of those videos, but I'd be willing to bet money that the only reason that episode has any fans is because Dean had a sex scene in it. Or, you know, maybe people were really moved by the story of the racist who burned down the church full of choir children.
