you forgot the Chained Heat /Red Heat

2 prison movie combo! AWESOME.

I also loved that Shawn changed Gus' name to Shawn as well. The way they continually mix things up is just brilliant.

Yeah, this felt like classic Psych. Great episode.
Directed by John Badham. And somehow it was still good.
My favorite part? Besides, "............Muffins!" was the fact that Henry was playing Crackdown on the 360 with what looked like a pained PS2 Guncon. How silly, Psych. Almost up there with Life's play through Prince of Persia on the Xbox to open up secret documents. Yup, that's how it works!

bum bum bum...that just became my favorite pysch episode ever.

Everything was hitting on all cylinders man.

One little throwaway moment that might have been missed was when they were talking about When Harry Met Sally and shawn says "they fake orgasms too" and then lassiter looks at jules in shock and she just nods.

"It's been 15 years since my last confession"
"WOW!"

Yeah, this episode was really great.

The 'possessed' girl looks familiar, don't know if she's been in a movie before ...

Yeah, that was great.

And yet another nod to The Mentalist.

"Carson D has Simon Baker on today, I can't miss it"
All the Mentalist stuff is funny because...yes...it's true.

not a bad episode last night.. anything Lassie related is good TV. Overall it was some pretty good Lethal Weaponage tribute material.
"FREEEEEEEZE DOOOOOOUCHBAG!" as he dove through the air, gun in each hand.

Lassie is awesome and probably watches Hard-Boiled twice a week, wishing his life could be so easy.
Last week's was awesome, but last night's sucked bad. That chump scientist from Heroes was so awful. His accent just made me cringe throughout. Just wasn't a very funny episode.

The only plus point was lots of Rachael Leigh Cook.
I actually enjoyed the episode. There was the great opening scene were Lassiter thought he was finally going to get to prove he was better than Shawn. And then there was the hilarious interview where Shawn and Gus were first talking to Raj's brother (as played by Jay Chandrasekhar). Sure the case wasn't great but it was fun enough.

And I love the way they're making Shawn torn between Rachel Leigh Cook and O'Hara. He's really into both and it's one of those situations where it's like, "Should he risk this great thing he has with one girlfriend to potentially have something better with another?" And the way they are doing that seems pretty genuine I think.

And finally, I don't know that Sendhil Ramamurthy (the main suspect Raj and Mohinder on Heroes) has an 'accent.' He was born and grew up in the US.

The opening credit scene was great. Much like the "Telemundo" episode.

The eating of hot food scene was really funny..

pretty good episode overall. Anything with Jay in it, whether directing or not is great.
I thought it was ok. Even though it was in every preview, the dinner scene/hot food was awesome.

This whole season has just had a weird vibe to it.

Yeah, but that was it. This one was a miss with me, had great potentially though.

And wow, that actress who played the killer!
I know its Psych (not Monk or the Mentalist)..but if the guy who was "cursed" knew enough to keep his new girlfriend a secret (from the crazy), why didnt he mention that fact to anyone? Maybe he wanted her too? Not really a dig against the episode.

Bollywood done, wonder if this will be an annual thing (opening credits in another language) .

This was an extremely good episode. Keenan and Jaleel were great in this. Boys II Men did the theme song and the jokes were awesome.

Gus Brown and Shawn White?? excellent.

Vintage Psych.

Great episode. I hope the undercover narcotics detective is a recurring character at some point, but maybe that's just my love of the movie Candyman talking.

Really digging this season. Here's an example why: Significant other and I are watching the scene in which Shawn thinks he has to keep elliptical-ing, or a bomb will explode. The wife says: "Kind of like Speed on exercise equipment."

I respond: "Naw, it's more like Lethal Weapon 2."

About five seconds later, Shawn and Gus have the exact same conversation. Also, more versions of the Psych opening theme, please.
That's pretty much exactly what went through my head during that scene.

Such a wonderfully hilarious episode. The dialogue was excellent.

Dee's Nuts. The Occultopus. Name drops like Faruza Balk, music montage to Hungry like the Wolf and the lovely played Myrtle.

This episode is a classic.

and next week's mid season finale looks INTENSE.
Biff Tannen!
David Naughton!
Was the "Dee's Nuts" gag really so funny that they had to use it twice?

Indeed it was.
Such a great episode. I'm really liking how they're kind of making Gus more of a ladie's man in this season. I'm especially liking how he gives ridiculously over the top nick names, only for the various women to actually use them seriously.

"John Slade! What's going on?"

"What is it Black Magic?"

They have hinted at Gus getting a girlfriend. I would love it if Occultopus owner becomes a regular.
I had such a crush on her in The Secret World of Alex Mack
post #81 of 161
Biff Tannon showing up as Henry's nemisis was awesome.

The occult chick calling Gus Black Magic was awesomer.
Oh man, that's right Tom Wilson was in this episode. I wouldn't mind if he came back once or twice as Henry's nemesis.
I dont want to be Paul Walker ever
Loved that he lives in a dry cleaning building and he had Mentalist spoilers on his computer.
Someone on my blog party just mentioned that the Starship Troopers guy who grew a third eye is on this show! That is pretty cool

while Psych is at its best as a straight up sleuth comedy.. I really enjoyed this somewhat serious episode.

should be some great guest stars coming up in a couple of months. John Cena! Judd Nelson! AWESOME.
Solid episode. I loved that Shawn lives in an old dry cleaners.
For some reason I thought he lived at the Psych building
post #89 of 161
I love that Shawn was looking at Mentalist spoilers online.

Geesh Last post was in October.

Good thing Psych is back for the second half of its season tomorrow night at 10 pm!
Gah, you got me excited that it was tonight. It's just stupid White Collar tonight though.

Really good epsiode. John Cena had some good lines last night.

Loved the Officer and a Gentleman lines and Cena throwing out that Enemy Mine retort was beyond hilarious. I was dying laughing.

Hope he comes back.
I was actually a bit disappointed. The whole thing seemed a bit mashed up and without a lot of focus.

Also, didn't Sean get shot in the last episode of the first half of the season? At least some acknowledgment of that would have been nice.
Good episode last night, the "Enemy Mine" thing had me cracking up as well. I'm interested to see where they're going with the Sean-Jules-Abigail thing in the rest of this season.
I watched Gamer (shut up!) last night on OnDemand and James and Maggie had a cute little cameo during it.

Agreed. The episode completely sucked. The tone was all off for Psych, there was no continuation of last season's build-up/denoument, and the storyline involving Rachel Leigh Cook seemed like an awkward way to explain her frequent absences.

Also, even for Shawn, the leap to "Jules brother is a murderer" was a stretch.
The show has become rather hit or miss, at times this season. When it hits, it's still hilarious. But the misses feel rather annoying, and turn it into a show I don't feel like watching. Shawn has quickly turned into the star of the show that the world revolves around, whereas previously the Shawn and Gus team felt like the core of the show. Maybe my memory is just remembering it wrong. And often, Shawn's pop culture referencing or diversions feel like new staff writers attempting to mimic the style of earlier seasons, rather than feeling natural.

ETA: Shawn also comes across much more like a venomous, narcissistic, spiteful cunt. Maybe it's just me.

Meh. I had to rag on this show, because I love it so much.
Shawn's always been a pretty big asshole. I thought that was part of the appeal.
Really liked last night's episode. Yes, it teetered on the line of collapsing in on itself with the meta, but I think it's finding its way. Thing is, if I realize they can't do this forever, then they must realize it. I really hope they don't try and stretch this show past the breaking point.

Love Kurt Fuller's coroner.

The biggest laugh was Gus saying "Oh my god! You've never read the Bible."

I lost it. Extremely funny episode. I hope they bring Ruby back though.
