There are way too many Creationists on Facebook...

This is slightly pointless but it's the principle of the thing damn it!

If you use Facebook, vote in this poll so we can tip the scales more towards evolution and I can pretend there is some sanity in the world. Also the comments are hilarious and worth checking out, and it's almost a tie!

evolution: dirt came together and made a dot smaller than a dot on a page then exploded and made planets.
it rains on planet earth and your great great ect. grandfather is made
you're saying your ancestor's a rock!

And while you're at it, vote on the God poll:

You stole my line. Although, then again, creationists with the ability to disseminate their nonsense on a widespread basis are worse than those who live in intertron-free caves.

I mean, in that one stupid poll alone there are 25,718 PEOPLE! That makes the blood run cold.

I disagree. We always need at least one maintained in a safe, controlled environment. So that we never forget.

Anyone over thirty joined Facebook and not end up profoundly disappointed at how many shitheads you know?
I just love how they always simplify evolution down to "Your ancestor's a rock!" or "Your grandfather was a monkey!" As if having an entire gender spring forth from a guy's rib is any less ridiculous.

I'd even drop that age down to 20.

More gems:

Quote:
You have to be braindead, blind or just so fooled by satan not to see that there is a God. the bible says that creation will declare his existance. (sic)

its all about believing, not proving true until the after life. that's when we will find out. so, i BELIEVE in God thus I will believe in creationism.

evolving from monkeys!?!?! Come on peopel think about it!
GOD ROCKS!

Genisis 1:1
"In the begining God CREATED the heavens and the earth"
I'd have to say that speaks for itself.
><>

more evolution then creation?!!! What is the world coming to! thats terrible!

science is over rated.
its obv creation.

lol people are stupid if you think evolution is true than go to the zoo and watch the monkeys tell me when one turns into a human. if you see one tell me couse i want to know

If we evolved from apes..then tell me..why are there still apes?

WOW, it's a sad sad world when people actually believe we came from a big bang & a bunch of moneys. It make NO sense!

you cant believe in GOD and evolution at the same time... to say that it means that you are calling GOD a liar because in the very first book of the Bible, genesis, it says that god created man

Most of them (the shitheads) were creationists or prone to compare Obama to a monkey. Or both.

Hey, that's what they believe. Sure it may differ then what a majority of us believe but hell, they can believe in what ever they want.

This is America and in America you are free to be ignorant.

Wouldn't we want more, or all, Creationists on Facebook so that we know them by sight? Yes, declare your beliefs in Creationism along with a picture of yourself. I find this helpful.

ooooouuuu, big deal.

Yea...I would also like to know where exactly in the Bible there are contradictions?!? I've never noticed any myself lol...

God made the earth he made us we grow when he tells us too. I am not a monkey!
i love my lord and savior jesus christ!
-hannah

If I'm not mistaken..the Bible NEVER contradicts itself..sorry.
But I'm not worrying,it's all the "non believers" I worry about, when you die or when Jesus comes back for the "Big Judgement" you all will be going to Hell,it may seem harsh, but it's the truth..so good luck and God Bless.

if evolution were true where are the inbetween stage fossils? Everyhting managed to land just perfectly off a big bang and made everything just right. highly doubtful! why do we not witness evolution anymore? why have marine animal skeletons been found on the top of high mountains?? obviously the flood. theres no proof of evolution but tons of creation...creation points to its Creator

The day my Lord Jesus Christ comes to take me and the other believers to Heaven, I will shed a tear for those of you that were so resistant to His word!

see you don't get that through your little satanic worshipping head of yours...HUMANS(Adam and Eve) were the first life on this Earth...so we didn't evolve from anything, the only closest thing we evolved from was Eve being made from Adam's ribs..it sounds crazy but Christians have faith..unlike you guys..

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but as for me I know I did NOT come from monkeys! I was made by God in His image and it didn't take millions and billions of years...it took 7 days. I believe the bible is true and His word is true! There are things in this world that can't be explained other than with faith in God. Like if our atmosphere just blew up into existence than how would some planets be spinning one way and other another? Also has anyone been to the zoo lately? If I remember correctly there were monkey's there. I also don't remember any zoo says that they have to get NEW monkeys cause they have changed into humans!

God created the heavens and the earth and whoever doesn't believe that is sooooooo wrong!!!

you dont facts to believe in god.
thats the point. have fiath.
I'm so afraid of these people....

To be entirely fair to him, I'd probably be so shellshocked upon hearing those words from someone that I'd be rendered speechless for a good five seconds.

That guy gives the "water can be liquid, solid, and gas, so why can't the trinity be true?" fellow from Religulous a run for his money in terms of sheer argument stoppage eloquence.

Darwin was Catholic !!

why do people believe in evolution?

i dont see how evolution is possible.
even if we did devlope from apes,
where did the apes come from then?

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (that's the Bible) For those of you who don't know what that means; Faith is believing in something that you cannot see, or something that may not seem logical at the time- but knowing without a doubt that it's there. And prayer is NOT you just talking to yourself. Prayer is you having your own personal talk with God. And if you have ever prayed, then I wouldn't have to explain it. But, if people who believe in evolution would just do a little homework, then you'd know that on his deathbed, Darwin took back the whole theory of evolution. And if that's not enough proof then think about this; there's this thing called the Scientific Method-
Ask a Question
Do Background Research
Construct a Hypothesis
Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
Communicate Your Results
Evolution is still and will always remain just an idea.

mannnn satan really does have hold of this entire earth including some people in it.....

i know one thing that we did not evolve from Fish, to a chimp, yea, ok that can never happen

the bible says that earth is 2000 years old or well i dont know not the millions that it actually is

ok, think on this...Creationism was taught thousands of years before evolution was even thought of and before Charles Darwin was even born...and he even said that he had been wrong on his evolution theory before he died.

The fossils came from the great flood when Noah built the ark

duh! common sense. Jesus is lord! believing in monkey creation? joke.

If evolution is real then why haven't we evolved past humans?

If it takes us millions of years to evolve, and we are constantly evolving, why do we only live up to the average age of 75

God has no flaws, Francesca. I've been studying Christianity and Evolution theories for a few years and I have to say, those people who stick so tightly to evolution are missing out on all the wonderful things Christianity has to offer. The Christian God is so much more logical and makes much more sense than any evolution theory. It makes much more sense that humans were specially created by a wonderful loving God, with a purpose in life, than to think that we started out as bacteria and life is just a mistake as you say it is. And it's not just a feeling, it's truth. But people would rather stumble in the darkness than see the Light of Truth.

God is not a theory...evolution is....and the one prob wit atheism...is that u have to have laws rules wateve u call dem to keep ourselves in check...okaye no laws no problems....one law in the Bible says no adultry..that is a good law if u ask me....cause if there was no adultry people wouldnt have std's...think about it we need direction cause if we didnt we would still be wearin dipers and crappin on ourselves(im not debating it jus since evryone else is sharing their feelings about dis i want to also)
This stopped being funny awhile back... I'm literally almost pulling these stupid quotes at random out of thousands to choose from....
Helpful hint learned a few years back: "Eat shit, you fucking redneck" is not a well-liked response to someone who makes a crack about black people and apes when evolution is mentioned. It's fun to say, though.

evolution? Like x-men ?? Lol

genesis1:1 in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth.
I think that about sums it.

Its ashame that believers in christ cannot walk anywhere on this world without ppl attacking them. Yet these same ppl wish 4 peace at the sametime. *tisk tisk* we wish for that same dream but we dont attack others without real reason (i'm afraid to know what this persons idea of a 'real' reason for violence is...)

oh the evolution number says 1,666 loving the satanic undertone haha!

All i have to say is how can someone look into the face of a child or look at the wind blow through the trees , or look at the moon and the stars in the night sky and not believe in creation..god created the heavens and the earth...

If you don't believe in god i know where you'll go when you die.

Is creation baby(8)
is creation baby(8)
is creation baby(8)
is creation baby(8)

i am a jesus freak and very proud of it....i want to shout from the roof tops i am jesus freak...i love my lord jesus christ...and i am going to heaven when i die...and if u r not a jesus freak u will spend eternity in hell

and who cares if i do not have proper grammer or spelling....u wont need it in heaven or hell

how can u say "god doesnt exist" ???? Seriously, do u actually beleive evolution! Evolution is a joke!

People, do they really believe in evolution? Hey i have another one for you "global warming" and any thing that happens blame it in global warming.

True science lends itself more toward a creator than toward evolution. Nothing can come from nothing as any scientist will tell you. Sure, big bang and all that but when evolutionists believe that then they are believing something more improbable than god! They are doing exactly what they are confusing creationists of! Believing in nothing. Or believing in something just because someone said so or said it could have happened that way. I choose to believe the bible's account and science tends to be directed toward that also.

This is the last post that i will leave..i will be praying for all of you that dont believe that god created us and that we came from monkeys.. The only thing that i can offer and i would like to tell u is that jesus died on the cross and rose again for our sins and is waiting with his arms wide open ..to become your personal savior..and will give you eternal life if u will just ask..he will answer you prayer..jesus loves you and so do i ...

If none of you have seen this one yet, I suggest you take a look. It breaks down evolution into something I can guarantee about 95% of people can at least understand. Maybe 95 is a bit too high of a number but for some reason, I still have faith (zomg!)...in mankind (for which I shall burn for!)

Hence the danger of an insular existence. The entire world is full of ignorant narrow-minded people who will gladly denigrate, marginalize, beat, imprison, or kill you for having the wrong religious/political/social beliefs.

And you may very well have met creationists in real life. Not everyone advertises their beliefs, not everyone belittles the opposition.

I'm currently having a debate on Facebook with a creationist that believes that the only reason people die is because Adam ate that fruit in the Garden of Eden. I think the debate just ended, because I have no way to reply to that.

To be fair, the real reason isn't all that compelling, compared to apples and snakes and stuff. We die because it's cheaper for our genes to let us die than to keep us running for much longer after threescore and ten.
but guys! it's all right there on the page: "Chapter 1: The Boy Who Lived"

I think that speaks for itself.

Werewolf Girl, don't submit yourself to these horrors. It will only wither and chisel away at your sanity and faith in humanity.
Ultimately the best way to deal with these people is to burn them with fire. I doubt the rest of us would really care that much if they all suddenly went away.

Don't bother. Reason doesn't work. It just doesn't apply to them. These people don't arrive at conclusions by the same rules you and I do, so there's no point in outlining the evidence that convinced you, me, and everyone else with two brain cells to rub together.
Sadly, this is the one debate I would really rather loose. I'd love to think that there was something we could hold responsible for all of this, and that there was something better, or different on offer after we pop our clogs, but thus far Creationists arguments have failed to convince me, ultimately.

Yeah, the longer I talk to people like this, the more I realize this is true. It's frustrating, but all I can do is just shake my head and laugh.
