Half-Minute Hero

Played a demo of this tonight, instantly fell in love. It's basically an RPG where you have to save the world... and you have 30 seconds to do it. That's 30 seconds to fight random battles, level up, visit towns, do sidequests and fight the final boss. Everything with the look of an old school JRPG. It doesn't sound like it should work but it does. Genius.

This is the E3 trailer- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz7HYQZIZtk

But this gives you a better idea of how it plays- http://www.gametrailers.com/video/ja...ute-hero/51824

Full article on this and a few other games coming soon.

Sounds like a noby noby boy "This is different! and cheap! 10/10" scam. Amusing though.

My friend said a demo is up on the Jap PSN store. This looks pretty damn cool.

Demo hits tomorrow on PSN. I honestly can't wait to play it again... you all have to check this one out!

I guess it may be time to drag out the ol' PSP again as this game still sounds pretty great.

The video alone nearly gave me a heart attack. Old school.

I downloaded the demo last night and blasted through both levels. Actually, is there any way to play OTHER than blasting through? The game is great and VERY inventive but I'm afraid it will totally stress me out. It's nice that the clock stops in the towns and that you can pray to an idol or whatever to reset the clock, but the fact that it costs more gold each time you do it doesn't mean it can necessarily be abused.

I was screwing up pretty good until I realized I could heal up and the second level is definitely more meaty than the first, and therefore it stressed me out more. But it was great fun. I played through each level once and in the end I was a "Sucky Hero". the text is presented in a great, toungue in cheek way as well. Lots to love with this one...

Yeah I played through the second level a couple of times to get more characters in my party, fight through that cave up north, and bring the medicine to that guy in the first town. I can only imagine (and hope) how much more complex it gets. Of the other modes I'm most curious about how the shooter one works, cause it looks pretty insane.

If you haven't picked this up (I haven't yet) maybe Amazon having it for under $20 today might help.

I don't know why I haven't reviewed it, but this is one of the best games on the PSP. I put like 20 hours into this sucker on my vacation.

Yeah, definitely enjoyed the demos. The only reason I haven't picked this up is because it's on the PSP.

Kinda late to this party, but if I didn't have any of my other games, this would have justified me purchasing a PSP all by itself.

It had me at the Snatch reference for the description of the club as a weapon.
