Warehouse 13

I didn't see any thread created for this new show. I thought the first episode was OK. I'm actually watching the second episode right now and it appears that SyFy (god I hate that name) is moving around episodes so you get a sense that there's been a bunch of storyline development already covered. I remember the Sci-Fi channel doing the same thing. Really seems to throw off the momentum.

Nonetheless, have at chewers!

The pilot was good enough to keep me watching. It has potential to be the quirky (if more serious) partner for Eureka. Was watching the MLB ASG, so I'll probably watch episode 2 tomorrow.

For some reason I find the lead guy funny. When he dropped the record I about died laughing.

I thought it was okay, although it didn't earn any points when it seemed like it was okay for Secret Service agents to miss briefings. And the most intelligent thing that the guy could do about a bleeding stone is to steal it? That's kind of stupid.

For some reason, I can't help but feel that the male lead would have been better if it was David James Elliot. Or, if the two were played by the leads from Bones, since that relationship works better than the one so far in this show.

I just hope that the artifacts and tech are cool, because that's the main draw right now.

That and Saul Rubinek. Thankfully, both tend to be used in the same scenes. The camera gag from last night's episode springs to mind as being a perfect example of this.

True. I hope he gets to do more than be the information getter though, since that's what he was mainly used for so far. Although it seems like they're adding this hacker sub-plot which gives him something to do.

The lead guy is definately trying for a David Boreanaz vibe. Didn't like the "I'm mad at my daddy" subplot with the female lead. Way too predictable, it made for a sappy ending which this show does not need.

Loved the camera gag.

The hacker subplot was pretty good. Although I bet it ends up being him hacking from the future or something like that.

Couldn't help but laugh out loud at the camera bit, that was genius. The effects were great too.

The leads are likeable and the plots are silly but have their moments, I guess that's all I'm looking for so I'm feeling satisfied so far.

My theory for overall arc of the season is that the warehouse itself is self-aware. Can't have that many borderline magical objects all in one place without some sort of critical mass being reached.

Not a great show. But not shit, either. I stopped watching Eureka about 5 in last season and this has become the "3 in the morning but not ready to go to bed" TV show that sits on the DVR for about 5 days.

Those before commercial transitions are terrible.

I think the whole hacker subplot goes back to the missing original team member, from back when, that was mentioned in the pilot by glasses guy.

donde-- I missed that line, any recollection what he said?

Dr murder -- I agree, the camera bit was kinda funny

... But generally speaking, I think this show is really, really bad -- From the sudden overly melodramatic and expository turns in the otherwise comedic conversations and slap stick action, to the insanely recycled gags and bits, to the fact that the whole thing feels like its a big rip off of "The Librarian" (which IS NOT a good thing) -- Its just bad all around.

Thats funny, that was my knee-jerk response as well....

I totally agree-- They should fire whoever thought the leads could be secret service, and still act like children -- Its barely believable in the Librarian when Noah Wyle, a loser living at home with his mother, is considered "the chosen one" and yet constantly screws up and acts like a doofus ... but now we are supposed to buy that SS act like that, too? (... or that of all the secret service, THEY are the best candidates, fresh off their latest screwups that would get literally ANYONE fired?)

I actually think it could have potential. I liked the first 2 episodes, so I'm giving it a chance. Plus, there isn't a whole lot to watch during the summer, at least for me.

It happened during the pilot when they were looking at the picture of the original team from way back in the day and glasses guy was saying what happened to all the team members. Apparently, glasses guy and boss woman (who is mentioned as looking like she hasn't aged a day) are the only survivors with everyone else either dead, insane or in one case missing.

I want to feel Myka's boobs. Not ashamed to say it. Nom nom nom nom nom.

Faking out Artie at the end was cute.

Really digging this show.

Enjoyable show. Saw a few episodes, most out of order and didn't feel I missed a beat. It's light and breezy and it's got Saul Rubinek being awesome and a hot redhead being hot. Sure, Mika falls into the oh-god-please-stop stereotypical tough female cop, and Pete is of course the wise-cracking-but-talented-loner, but they have a good rapport and the missions are fun. Even if no one ever seems to question why the Secret Service is asking them about stuff, and not the FBI or CIA. Oh well. I'll keep watching if it's on, but won't make plans for it.

Dunno if i'm the only one still watching. But it was a pretty good finale. The "big turn" at the end was kinda telegraphed but it should make things interesting. Is Artie really dead...hope not because he might be the best part of the show.

From the finale in the previous post to this year's finale. Damn, that was pretty kick ass.
