Hey man, sorry, but I hate when people do stuff like this. I don't know the guy, I don't care, but this is a dick move and you see it far too often. You consider him your (online) friend and he's throwing you the finger. No second sentence? No "got cancer gonna live life to the fullest don't care about talking to you anymore bye"? Nothing? If it's not some lame prank he's probably got a good reason, but people still deserve better than to be utterly dismissed.

Yeah I'm projecting on to him, but he knew you would react as you are right now. He's saying that he doesn't care.

People are really volatile right now. I'm seeing this in real life as well. I don't think Facebook is helping things either frankly.

Patrick always struck me as a popular guy around here, I'm not getting the exit. Maybe he just feels the need to get away from online activity in general? Hope he's OK.

As far as people leaving the boards goes, this was one of the most respectful and less drama-filled departures I've seen here. I don't know him all that well, but his posts were always entertaining. Could be he's just burnt out on internet-related crap and needs some down time for a stretch.

His final FaceBook status, did he say anything serious/worrisome?

I've communicated a few times with him off boards after I sent him some editing software. He's a helluva good guy but he's a little on the reactionary side. Very much an artistic temperament. Let's hope this is just a quick, need to get his head sorted out phase.

I'm just kinda glad Domingo left before Devin's Supernatural column. I can't even imagine the thread that would've resulted from that.

BTW, I'm now pretty sure ol' Domingo was overplaying his role on the show. According to DGC there's only been one 3rd AD on the show and that was for only three eps.

I wouldn't say Patrick was my "cup of tea" but he was a real contributor. Domingo, I dunno, I never really paid any attention to him, but he seemed ok. And Spike, I can't believe he's gone. He was good people.

But Warren Peace, any time you feel the need to go, let us all know. I've rarely seen someone as coherent and yet such a waste of time in such a short space of time as you. Either chill the fuck out, or fuck off.

If you're mystified why people are still reminded of that, maybe you should stop making mentions to it in your signature smart guy. Many people on here scrap with Devin, most don't sig it. Move on, talk about movies, and all will be fine.

I hope Patrick recovers from whatever is ailing him, I know we could probably all use a break from the internet once in a while.

Nah, you give them far too much credit. It's a message board, cliques happen, and nothing brings a clique together like beating up a single victim. It's how our primate brains are wired.
