Ah...though I didn't realize female chewers needed defending. I guess my next question is are there threads that the women frequent more than others? Or maybe the high post counts are just the result of being a longtime member of the boards. Of course I've been here for years and haven't posted much, so who knows.

And I get that I'm being made fun of. Either I'm totally desensitized or the jokes are too inside for me to take offense.

Oh dear, this thread is not going well. Though I'm highly entertained by the stalking list, which apparently I need to be on twice?

Anyway, yes, I'm female. I found these boards through my boyfriend, and joined because I'm always looking for new places to make a nuisance of myself on the internet. I love movies, although I'm told I have questionable taste, so it seemed like a good place to be. Also, I love how snarky, rude and thick skinned most people here are. Internet arguments are the most entertaining thing when you're an unemployed insomniac with free time running out of your ears.

As for the rest of the first post - I do nothing, and I'm from Yorkshire, UK, which is shitty. I'm moving to Newcastle soon though, which is much better.

There are guys who might harass you here if you make a big deal of being a woman. Unless you're bitchy like me then they leave you alone.

Seriously, though, it's just like most other geeky things - male predominated - and the women on here are often not obvious. And yes, a lot of us have high post counts because we've been here a relatively long time. Posts per day may be a better indication of how active various people are.

And just like any other forum the women come and go based on a combination of their interest in the boards and the balance that strikes with the rest of their lives.

Oh, and I'm happily married now, too.

Worrying about this is something I never get, maybe because I've been using online dating sites for a couple of years but that kind of behaviour just makes me laugh. I think the women chewers are mostly awesome. Of course unless they're obviously named I can't tell a woman poster from a man. If Devin was never on TV I'd swear he was an older woman. An older woman who writes damn good articles for the main site.

I guess I just tend to look at everyone on here the same unless they begin to act like Swedish Miyagi or Fleed or worse.

I've never been stalked, or even close to it, which makes me think it can't be that common as I'm a fairly ideal target. I use my real full name on most sites, I have a lot of photos on various sites, and I think my home address is even floating round on an old blog somewhere. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I wouldn't say it's a high risk.

Of course the day I do get stalked is the day all the personal info goes down. But general harassment and creepiness is a whole different thing, and it's usually good for a laugh.

Same goes for me, though I have a part time job that at times is like being unemployed, at times is like having a triple shift job with VERY LOW payment, that’s slowly but surely consuming my soul and turning me into a homicidal maniac. Reminds me of whatever happened to the CHUD chat room movie night where everyone would sync up a time to watch a particular movie? I remember we saw Suspiria, and Big Trouble In Little China amongst a few others.
