Interesting band who are currently making a big impact over in Britain. They're riding the crest of 80s revivalism going on over here and whilst some of their songs do wear their influences on their sleeves (their first single Rabbit Heart seems to borrow heavily from ABC's Look of Love
What makes the band work, for me at least, is the crisp vocals of the lead singer and just how well produced the songs are. It's kind of like a more anthemic, breezy, Bat for Lashes but there's something infectiously charming about them. Also I reckon that these songs are going to become like the mainstays for TV soundtracks for a while.
For my money their next single My Boy Builds Coffins is the best song off of the album and probably one of the more interesting songs of the year.
