The green text says the opposite of what the white text said. One of you is lying.

I don't even like Dread all that much, but I'd almost rather not see Barker associated with ADHF. At least they won't be ruining Popolac and Podujevo.

Have you seen it? Or do you mean the story?

Hahaha. Wish Creature Corner were still up so I can link you to my old "After Dark Horrormess" article where I ripped it apart, and got them really pissed at me. That after a barrage of emails and phone calls to the former guy handling it went unanswered, and it was a week or two till the fest and there still weren't even 8 films announced. They really had no idea what they were doing with planning these when they started.

No, I just meant the story. It's conventional for Barker, is all.

I've seen more than a few festivals run by people with no organization skills, it's always kind of baffling when organizing things is almost 100% of what the job entrails (thought I'd end that sentence like the crypt keeper.)

This story was the only one in Books of Blood that I read before writing off the entire collection. I wish the filmmakers all the best in trying to find some way to make this hilariously awful story work on the screen.

I still don't think they have any idea what they're doing. The 1st Fest played at the Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth to sold out shows, every one. The next year they put it in some small theatre in Manville. I didn't care much, because it was close to me, but those shows were nowhere as well attended. I don't see why they'd do that; Manville is kind of far from anywhere. And the 3d one didn't even run at a theatre in Jersey. Not living in Jersey City anymore, it's kind of a pain in the ass - particularly for the Friday night shows, which start at 6 PM, the height of Manhattan Rush Hour - to truck it on over to NYC for 3 nights in a row. Paying for parking on top of the All Access Pass (since I can't PT it over from Scotch Plains with nearly the ease I could from JC), & dinner & other incidentals, also made this a really expensive proposition. I didn't even go, and I actually LIKED the Fest, bad films and all. With any luck, they'll return it to Jersey in 2010.
