'Splosion Man

This is a lot of fun. Just neat little platformer that is pretty inventive. Totally worth the money. Plus you get too blow up tons of helpless scientists.

Yeah, this game brings it and straddles the line between "this is retarded" and "oh god this is a blast". Makes me want to check out The Maw now.

I played the trial version of this, and I thought it was fun. I especially liked all the cuts of meat that are left behind after blowing up the scientists. It really amused me for some reason.

I might have to pick up the full game sometime.

This is the best Xbox Arcade game, bar none. It's just pure fun. At $10, there's no excuse not to buy it, unless you lack a soul.

This game is greatness, loved that Splosion Man shouted 'see you at the party Richter' after the robot fell off the cliff. Love the donut music too.

I was impressed with the exploding acrobatics in the demo. I might buy it.

Bought it, and its pure greatness!

Dammit, Wade, just buy it. Dammit, everybody, just buy it. It's way more fun than it has any right to be.

It's awesome, but it's ridiculous finnicky at times. The platform puzzle on 2-6 was a complete arse because the timing, and Splosion Man's somewhat erratic jump height combined to give me a real headache. But yeah, so much fun.

I'm still on the fence about this one. On one hand, yes, it's like N+ with killer graphics. That is good. On the other hand, I don't play my copy of N+ so I don't think the $10 will be justified. I'll probably end up getting it down the road once my back log clears up a bit.

Maybe my favorite game since Portal.

The guy that does the Playboy Advisor mentioned this game on the Playboy Morning Show today and said it was great fun.
It is great fun. It's the perfect kind of old school difficult that's frustrating but fun rather than the bullshit difficult like so many other "old school" games that have popped up these past few years (lookin' at you BIONIC COMMANDO remake).

Why are there not more of you playing this game? Mantooth is the only one in my friends list with this one, and he's hardly a challenge.

If the game has one flaw, it's the boss battles. Given how much fun and inventiveness goes into the levels, the boss battles (so far) have been nothing more than extended enemy fights. It's like they just did them as a formality.

I'm nowhere near hardcore enough for this game. Stage 2-8, specifically the moment where you have to jump between three panels and then use a collection of blast barrels to land on a small platform, is kicking my ass in so many ways. I just can't do it.

Way of The Coward for you!

Yeah, they're a bit of a pain. The last boss is especially brutal, but leads into one of the better endings to any game, as long as you like random goofiness.

As long suspected, THEY HAVE NO SOULS!!!

Been saving 800pts for Mothership Zeta, but it's burning a hole in my virtual pocket for this game. How is the co-op?

Worth 1200 points.

This game is what the Sonic games would be like in an alternate universe where they never became a horrible joke.

Yeah I played the trial, and loved it. I should have bought this by now...

I'm loving this game the more and more I play it. It gets ridiculously tough though.

Has anyone had any luck with co-op in this game, I've managed to play one level thus far and that's about it.
Well I'd presume it's because you need friends for it.
Yikes.

It's more to do with the nature of co-op play, it's based around a chain reaction jumps using the other players and it just doesn't seem to work as well as it should.

Damn, he walked right into that one.

I've played through about half the game with a friend. It's pretty fun stuff, and downright diabolical later on. Basically, you just let one person control the countdown (LT) so there's no confusion over when to splode. Other than that, communication is the key; figure out what the level requires you to do, and split up the tasks accordingly.

It is actually more fun than I made it sound, I promise!
