** With the rookie keeper, the order of the draft is correct this year - problem fixed!

Rex Grossman is listed as Gio's rookie keeper. After the draft just replace him with a Free Agent
post #54 of 325
So just so I understand how things are going to work, should the system instantly give each of us 4 people? So the start time for the actual draft should be correct?

Yes. I put in your keepers as picks 1-4 and we start with round 5

I haven't heard back from Jason Thompson yet about his keepers but I fugure they should be one of the following players:

Drew Brees, Brandon Jacobs, Ladanian Tomlinson or Reggie Wayne. His only rookie is Matt Ryan.

Plan accordingly. Unfortuantely, I will have to autodraft because I have an advanced screening for Extract Monday night. Dang it, I hate missing drafts...

... unless anyone is against moving the draft to another night
post #58 of 325
Depends on the night, and can we move it when it's this close?
I can't do it Thursday night or beyond this week. I can do it (as long as it's 9 PM CT or later again) Tuesday or Wednesday. Son has football practice until 8 PM ET on Tuesday.
I'm autodrafting most likely, so it matters little to me if you move the date/time.
I have a draft this Tue & Wed night. All other times are good.
I'm out of town this Friday and Saturday, otherwise any night is good with me.
Can't do it Wednesday. Any other weekday this week is fine, as long as it's very late.

FYI - I won the Chud Championship last year with an autodraft (stuck between cities on a cross-country move).

That's what YOU think. Rex Grossman will be the cornerstone of my 2009 championship run.
Sounds like tonight will remain the draft, then.

cool. i was hoping tuesday night but I can bite the bullet this year.

All the keepers are plugged in, the divisions are set, and I fixed the schedule so you play everyone in your division twice.

Good draft everyone. I'll try to check when I get back from the screening to see if the draft is still going. Hope everything works out with no errors this year
post #67 of 325
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the draft order is screwed up. Wease is first and I'm 2nd. It's wrong.

damn it. I'll reset the order and then reenter all the picks

Thanks! I got it. Things should be fixed now and the keepers are assigned. Everything should be a go. Draft starts at 9:00 tonight. My screening starts at 7:30 about 20 miles away and official run time is 91 minutes. Giving me time to go pick up my kid from his grandmas after the movie and get back home, I should be home by 10. See how much is left of the draft by that time...
If it's like it usually is, we'll probably be almost finished. Thanks for the hard work, and I'll see you losers tonight!
What's the reasoning behind not drafting Matthew Stafford? We are a keeper league that has a rookie slot and it seems a no brainer to take a shot at him.

I have Cutler and loaded up on rookie RB's hoping to find a stud.
Giving up a roster spot to someone that isn't going to play for most of the season is tough for me to do, unless I get someone that I know will immediately contribute. I'd rather go grab someone during the season that may be unexpected. I do have a few guys I'm keeping my eye on, though.
There's no guarantee Stafford starts this year. You pick him up as a keeper after bye weeks are through being a pain in your 15-man roster's ass.
I kept Tom Brady all season hoping it would pay off this season. Still hoping.

My starting team looks pretty good. I could use some help with backups.

That's pretty much all of us.

We had 17 rounds this year. It's risk/reward. It maybe risky but I see him as more valuable than a WR who is 3rd on the dept chart and will only get 40 catches max. Just surprised me.

I was surprised too which I why I picked him up. I was more shocked Glen Coffee didn't get drafted (I picked him up too)

Do we have live scoring? I don't see any scores yet.

I was at work. Was the StatTracker not working? That is where the live scores are at.
I don't see any points for my team! Oh wait...I didn't have any guys playing last night.

I see scores out there this morning. May have been delayed or something.
I didn't check that. I was just looking on the main page.
Well, unless Tom Brady goes insane and scores 90 FP, I think I got that tough first victory. That was a scary team I faced, but just about everything went wrong for all of the Cowpokes' players.

On another front, I lost like 3 of my 6 LBs in a different league, and half of my WRs scored zero FP. Argh.
My team needs serious WR help. Can I start two TEs?

No kidding. WTF? This was a team I was pretty pleased with. I knew my WR were suspect, but 30 points?
I'm going to lose after tonight's games unless San Diego gets shut out. I went through a parade of Cadillac Williams, Julius Jones and then finally settled on Mike Bell for my 2nd RB this week. If I'd stuck with either of my early choices I'd probably be winning. Bell was the only one who didn't find the end zone.
Fuck. Urlacher is saying he's done for the season. My one decent LB in one of my leagues, and he's gone after game 1. Shit.
Anyone looking to trade a good WR for a good RB (Joseph Addai or Tim Hightower), make me an offer.
After getting lucky in Week 1, the champs get over on me in week 2. Oh well. Think I'm going 0-3 this week in my leagues.
My team had a decent week and got utterly sodomized by Whedonesque. The only saving grace was that after the Titans game I knew I had no shot so at least I didn't think about it at all after the first half of that game.

I thought I had a pretty good first two weeks but lost both games. Strange start to the season. At least I turned things around in week 2 of my main money leagues and am 2-0 in my new Dynasty league.
In my 2 Dynasty Leagues, I get an Injury Report of my team's players on Saturday. Players could be Probable, Questionable, or Out. On one team, there are 8 players on the report, and on the other, 14 players. Argh.
Well, I guess almost all of my guys decided to show up this weekend. If Williams somehow goes off tonight, I could top 200 FP. Why can't I take some of these extra points and apply them to next week?
Gotta say I'm quite disappointed there is no scoring option for return touchdown for the DEF. It's a given in most leagues, and I assume it was overlooked in this league setup. (I know I missed that setting in a Yahoo league I set up once.)

Oh well, I missed out on the only perfect record without the points for the return.

Just prepare yourself for when you miss out on those points. At least Devin Hester isn't returning kickoffs for Chicago anymore.

That and individual kick/punt returns. It should be in.
yeah, let's change that for next season. it's not like we're a league that's stingy on points. We almost broke 200 this week.
