My new Sunday religion

Watching Jacques Pepin videos that the idiot Georgia PBS station doesn't air.

The compliments I got from my guests Friday night for the merlot/peppercorn sauce (for beef) and the roasted vegetable medley have to go straight to the best chef alive. I have the biggest freakin' man-crush on this guy.

And we need a sticky 'foodie' thread. That Julia Child movie reminded me of Jacques. They were so fucking amazing together.

And he mentions Julia a lot on his own show. He very obviously misses her quite a bit.

I love this guy.

Hear, hear. But seeing as I already started the cigar & scotch threads, you wanna field this one, Jake? I know I'd contribute regularly.

Start the thread Jacob, I'd post! I'm a foodie and I have the ass to prove it.

Let's do it!

I have several gigs worth of recipes to share, and I'd rather share them with you guys, than some random dudes on cooking boards.

I will share my almost-but-not-quite-winning-top-three-at-least-world famous Food Network Ultimate Recipe Showdown chicken recipe.

Deal!

In return, I will contribute my Lasagne Verde Bolognese...

I've got a pretty kickass Alice Springs Chicken recipe. Let's do it!

Love cooking shows in general, esp the shows on PBS with Jacques Pepin and Ming Tsai. If you watch Pepin's enough, you will learn all kinds of stuff about French cooking technique and it's gourmet "fast food" not prepared by Rachael Ray.

Ming is the shit! Even though he's a bit more 'fusion' than 'traditionalist', he still has amazing recipes.

While I was stationed in Korea in the late 1980's, I became seriously addicted to Korean food... especially kimchi. For those who know and love it, I offer this. It makes it insanely easy to make at home... and I can't eat any kind of noodles without it.
