Will we all be on here while we're all in our 80's and beyond in a rest home, still talking like we do? I friggin' hope so. I hope this site and message board goes on and on and on.

Well, Phil and I are not that far away from the Shady Pines Rest Home... but I'm fairly sure you'll still see us here.
Fuck that, Greg David and Jacob Singer are older. Somebody's 50 up in this.

No shit?

I turn "comic book" in about a week.

And next year's my age of Christ.

So I feel like I'm getting a second wind. I actually don't imagine myself as an old person... ever.

But, yeah. I see myself doing this shit for years. Why not?

I try not to think of myself as an old person. Don't really want to either, but it does slip through from time to time. It's hard to imagine myself as a guy in his 70's rocking out to Guitar Hero, or whatever is the technology in 40 years or so. To hell with it, I'll still be me. Just WAY older.

That's a sign you're just too darn old.

Guilty as charged. Am I right if I intuit it means you're past the average age of most comic book superheroes?
I suspect it's the age of comic book guy in the Simpsons.
Oh good. Someone got it. I was afraid that reference would be too absurd.

Don't let this happen.

I imagine myself annoying the shit out of my grandkids by singing along to Morrissey and Radiohead the way my grandfather used to (and still does) croon tangos.

EDIT: Or maybe it was too weird. ... Ok. It means I turn 32. Now, why is that of significance to comic books? I'll leave that to you.

Is it the average issue number where things go completely to shit, and people stop reading it?

I don't know comics...

Um, when Dick Grayson became Batman?

When Superman got married?

Just go ahead and tell us.

EDIT: Ah, mystery solved.

*shakes head in sorrow* I am a comic book nerd.

So I'm assuming "64 and no ads" would mean a curmudgeon who hates telemarketers.
Seriously? 32 X 2 = 64. Double the content w/no ads.

Edited. Rene must have edited while I was posting.

I hope they still have Ebay when I'm 80 'cause I'm going to make a killing with all those damn balls that roll into my yard.

Ebay will probably be voice activated, and be like Sothby's.

I've just assumed all along that a few years fron now CHUD will have become not just a mega media empire, but the mega media empire, a monolithic, all encompassing, solar-system-wide monopoly that makes Rupert Murdoch's work look about as impressive as wetting your pants. On and on and on indeed.
