I doubt this will ever happen, but you never know. This guy is only slightly less polarizing than Limbaugh and there would be decades of opposition research on him. There is no way he'd win and any decent adviser will tell him that.

Of course, that being said, if there's one thing the right-wing has in spades it's the ability to ignore reality.

I can only see this as a good thing.

If he runs:
1) Even fox wont be able to get away with keeping him on tv as a commentator or as a host. he will need to go out there to alabama or something to eat card board chicken at a VFW hall, not nightly invade my magic tv box
2) He wont win so we make fun of him

Yeah, even within the Wild West standards of current republican affairs, there's no way this is gonna happen.

I mean commentators make a living out of saying the outrageous shit that no elected politician could get away with, there's so many statements hannity could be nailed on he wouldn't even need to make new ones.

In a softball game between my restaurant (Altobeli's) and his radio station (WGST) in the early 90's, I took him out big time while sliding into 2nd base.

I am very proud of that moment.

Well it's not unprecedented. After all, Pat Buchanon made a run for the president and Al Franken (a talk radio host at one time) actually won his election to the Senate. Maybe Hannity wants to one up Franken?
