I'm really glad to hear that the Seinfeld reunion is a multi-episode arc. YESSSS! Oooh, and the EW piece addressed the Michael Richards incident. Nice.

I assume that's a reference to the episode George whines about not getting a Christmas card and not something that happens on Curb?

Exactly. I would have returned the paycheck that day. The smile of Julia after those seconds is gorgeous.}

ETA: ''There's a good possibility I could do another season,'' says David. ''And if not, I'll find something else to do.'' Such as? ''I would like to meet a woman who likes me at the same time I like her,'' muses David, who got divorced from his wife, Laurie, in 2008 after 15 years of marriage. ''But I realize that's impossible. And against nature.'' But Larry, you've pulled off the Seinfeld reunion miracle — isn't anything possible? ''No. Nobody can pull that off. They like you and you like them? And you're having sex? That's not happening.''

A little more focused on setting up plot than last week, but still great. Maybe it's just because the wait was long but I'm relishing this season more than any other. And is it just me or is there a bit more of a Woody Allen vibe than ever before? It could have something to do with the slightly more cinematic look they get from switching to HD but I'm wondering if doing Whatever Works rubbed off on Larry a bit. I think it's mainly the way they're handling the stuff with Cheryl.

Goes without saying it was great seeing the gang back together and I can't wait to see where it goes. And I loved that instead of showing Larry's whole confrontation with the NBC guy they set it up and then cut to the aftermath. Unusual move for Curb but payed off nicely. Speaking of which, the fakeout ending when the theme started playing was weird but led to a funny moment.

I assumed they didn't give Larry front seats because of that Shaq incident.

Easy fix; just offend Meg Ryan enough until she quits.
What was Christopher Walken doing on that boat? Was that ever explained?
Weren't he and Natalie Wood filming a movie together at the time?

It came across as shady and uncomfortable at the time, at least in terms of gossip. Which makes the inappropriateness of Larry directly mentioning it at the end of a scene so great. Wagner finally talked about in some detail in a book he released, I think this year.
The look on Jerry's face when Larry didn't really have an answer to that question was great.
Last night's episode was not even close to as funny as the first two episodes.

I'm interested to see where they go with Michael Richards' character.

You mean when Richards crosses paths with Leon? Yeah. That will be a good one to witness...

Great episode and slowly putting all together. That face on Jerry was perfect.
Jason ragging on the finale, talking about doing it "right" this time was great.

It's kinda annoying when shows set up a multi-episode arc (Seinfeld reuinion) and follow up certain episodes with one where the arc is mentioned only offhand like this one did.

But how can I dislike an episode that puts Larry back on the rampage. I mentioned before how in recent episodes that Larry David didn't seem quite as angry as he used to be earlier in the show. That the fun he was having making the show seemed to be poking through into his performance. It felt like some of that angry Larry David was back tonight.

Still, I hope we see more of the reunion episode and Leon soon.

Larry yelling at the daughter was great. And it was nice to see Susie tear in to Larry again.
Do they make Philip Baker Hall look particularly old in this show? He always looks like death in his appearances. It's hilarious.

Just thinking about him drooling on Larry makes me crack up.

Ah shit, slip of the tongue. Or fingers rather.

I was a little disappointed with the new ep after the sheer greatness of the first three, but it wasn't bad. I'll probably like it a lot after watching it a few more times.
Anytime Larry makes an ass out of himself and gets yelled at by multiple people is good TV. I loved this ep. The randomness of the Christian Slater cameo was great as well.
not bad but felt out of place. aside from mentioning the meg ryan situation this episode could've easily taken place before last week.
Thought it was a below-average episode.
I loved Philip Baker Hall telling Larry not to involve his wife over and over again. The fact that she literally said NOTHING the whole time had me in tears.
His never looking at her or revealing her first name made that scene, like her name was highly confidential info.

Larry shutting down the awful singing -twice- made the episode for me. I'd have been the guy at the party quietly thanking him for saving my brain from being turned to pudding.

Ted Danson returning him some money was perfect. I loved th fact Larry & Christian were recreating the double dip incident.
I loved this week's episode. It was a return to old Curb where they don't worry as much about the punchlines as they do making Larry the biggest prick on the Earth. This show never disappoints.

See I think that's what makes the show so genius. The documentary-style feel of the show is exactly what this past weeks show felt like. We're basically along for the ride through Larry's everyday life. The Seinfeld reunion thing is just one part of his unusual life. Plus, anytime they can bring back the legendary Mr. Bookman its always great.

Regarding Larry saying he may do another year, awesome. However, Curb is one of those shows that would be so hard end. Because of the documentary feel of the show the only way I see they could end the show would be, tragic as it would be, with LArry's death.

They already did that!
It's really not that hard to end. Last season would have been a satisfying ending. The season before that felt like an ending. He's been giving himself an out for years now.
Five gets you ten that the series ends with Cheryl revealing she's pregnant. I don't know why, but I've always had a feeling that will be the end of it (based on absolutely nothing other then the fact that that would probably be the worst thing that could happen to Larry's character).
If Larry really wanted out he'd write a bad season, so that way everyone would start saying it's time to end it. But in order to do that, there couldn't be any Leon.

"You gotta break a piece of that ass off and bring it home with you."
God, just run Larry! Get out of there!
The sight gag of Larry running through the house with Denise Handicap and Wendy Wheelchair rolling after him was greatness. Leon telling Larry about "bringing the ruckus" never fails to make me laugh. And I'll admit it, there's something hilarious about Rosy O'Donnell wrestling Larry. I also dug their verbal spar over trying to out "take care of" the other. This may be my favorite ep of the season.
That Wendy Wheelchair had a little Marisa Tomei thing going on. Too bad Larry has a little George Costanza thing going on.
The whole exchange with Danson over the pie was tremendous.

"Be a fuckin' friend."
I loved it. When he put Wendy in the closet, I about lost it.

This was a damn near perfect episode.

I read your comment before I saw the episode. Hilarious.

Also, I totally do that thing when I save phone numbers on a cell phoe.
I fucking died when he stuck Wendy in the closet. You'd think by now I wouldn't be surprised by the depths which Larry sinks to, but no.
When he began really pushing Denise towards the bed my girlfriend shouted out, "No! Don't do that!!" haha, she's not used to Larry yet.

That was a solid gold episode, just so brilliantly funny.

"No, don't call her Frasier"
I was disappointed that there was no closure to the mystery of, "Did Larry Bring It?"

Ted Danson was great here. Long live Leon too.

Then, for a few seconds, I thought I would do the same in that situation. Later on I thought "Well, Wendy is hotter".
When I read the screen "Wendy wheelchair" I was almost crying for so much laughs.
This episode was fantastic. Had that Always Sunny vibe to it, but Larry-style.
Larry created the "Always Sunny vibe" with Seinfeld, pal!
Of course. Seinfeld was what started it all. I was going for a contemporary. I'm watching them back to back too, so that seems to reinforce any comparisons.

Has this show always been this funny? I've only watched the first season.
Yes it has. It's a consistently great show. There are little ups and downs of course, but as far as I'm concerned there's never been a really bad episode
post #99 of 210
Holy shit that was an amazing episode. Hilarious from start to finish.

Larry trying to make out with Denise on the chair had me in tears. The whole Danson and Pie incident, Leon and his explaining about breaking that ass.

Just amazing.
I thought the Producers season was the weakest, mainly because it took over so much of the season's plot. But that said, the weakest Curb is still great TV.
