*Squeal!*

There were probably also endless texts containing scientific discoveries that wouldn't be rediscovered for hundreds of years. But who cares about that shit? Alexander was dreamy.

Bumping because I just want to see if any chewers saw this in the end. It's coming out in extremely limited release here next week - like, 'good luck tracking this down with a map an ice pick and a divers helmet' type limited release - and I want to get an idea if it's worth hunting for.

I'd say it's worth a rental, good performance by Rachel Weisz, the Christians come off looking like thugs but it's still an interesting look at the clash of two cultures, one spiralling and the other rising.

It's by far my favorite film of the year. I keep intending to do a giant write up on it for the POST RELEASE thread but I have so much to say that it's hard to find the time to sit down and type it all out

I can't recomend it highly enough though. The sets are mind blowing, like a David Roberts painting come to life. The drama is so astounding I wept no less than twice over the course of the film. Rachel Weisz redefines female heroism on film in her ground breaking role as Hypatia, and it's a performance not to be missed!
