Parker Lewis Can't Lose

Purchased the first season on DVD recently. To be honest, I'd forgotten all about it since the mid-to-late 90s reruns on the USA Network (thought the series originated there as a kid for some reason).

As a staple of the early 90s goes, it holds up really well. A Ferris Bueller knock-off? Most definitely. But the show was able to get past that stigma with its writing, performances and visual style. That, and the Kube. "Eat now?"

Please tell me there are other fans here on the CHUD forum.

I saw a few episodes of this in reruns; my most vivid memory featured a character getting a stay in school lecture from...Ziggy Marley and Kool Moe Dee. Talk about your time capsules!

It seemed like a good show but not having grown up with it I couldn't muster up too much enthusiasm.
