Youtube musical discoveries

So I find myself cruising youtube from time to time and often play the 6 degrees of seperation game, jumping from related video to related video to turn up a bit of musical gold.

Thought this may be a good place to share the odd find.

Recently I discovered Kate Nash and Billy Bragg doing a Foundations-New England crossover live that I thinks pretty cool.

I'll post more as I come across them, but has anyone else found the odd musical golden nugget on the tube of you?

Still sing this as "people like to people like to people like to EAT A SANDWICH!"

Great song.

I know I bust your balls a lot, but for this, all is forgiven. Mate.

What am I missing with this? That was just a notch above "a bunch of noise."

Ah I know that you bust 'em with love sir, it's all good.

And you're welcome.

I've been playing it over and over, it's golden.

This is one example of an artist called Kutiman who splices other youtube tunes performed by amateurs into complete songs. I love this shit.

Bat for Lashes - What's a Girl To Do

Not sure how popular this group is, but the video is nice, and I liked the song so much I iTune'd their album.

The new album, Two Suns, might be even better, and Fur and Gold was certainly no slouch. A few videos:

Daniel
Pearl's Dream
Sleep Alone

I don't think any of the videos beat the sheer weirdness of "What's a Girl to Do," but the songs are all pretty great.
