Please help me decide what cellphone to get

My mom is buying a new "family plan" for our family since my brother is going to europe for a while and wont be on our plan anymore. It means I get a new cellphone!

I have five different models to choose between.


If anyone has any experience with any of the following models, please give me your thoughts. Even if you've just heard third hand about them I'd still be curious. I'll be checking reviews on Cnet, but would like to hear what the Chud-munity has to say first as you guys seem a pretty reliable bunch.

2) NOKIA 6205
3) NOKIA 2605 MIRAGE
4) Verizon CDM 8950
5) Samsung Smooth

I also own an iPod touch which I got for my BDay last month, which I will be using for alot of my web browsing at wifi hotspots etc. The phone will mainly be for phoning and texting I think.

Well nevermind, it turned out I had more options than I thought I did.

The LG "enV2"

Just thought I'd keep you guys updated on my new phone. It feels very sturdy in my hand, I never feel like I'm going to break it by just using it. It is quite attractive adn compact, And I like flat keys on the front, and they keyboard feels very solid. I truely feel it looks cool to use, so when people see me on it they probably assume I am cool. Also, Now I can be on AIM messenger all the time instead of just in wifi hotspots which is how I was connecting with my iPod.

All in all, a very good purchase.

The problem is though if I want to keep it shiny like my iPod, I need to come up with a new stratergy. I had banished all odds and ends and pocket change from my left pocket, where I keep my iPod. I kept all the scratchy stuff in my right pocket. I have been deviding up my pockets this way since my birthday in July.

Now? I do not know what I'll do... I will need to keep my cell phone in my right pocket, and that leave no room for change or other things.

I do not carry purse as I have long ago found out I am incapable of keeping track of it. I have lost 4 seperate ones and had others looted when I forgot them some place. Now all I have is pockets to use.
