I've really been diggin the way Sony is treating its older catalog titles lately. The Michael Powell Collection, Budd Botchier, the upcoming Sam Fuller set.
But what got me on their bandwagon was their treatment of Hammer films in their library. I know they might not float everyone's boat, but personally I can't get enough of them. If you haven't checked out their Icons of Adventure set you really should. Great transfers with some swell features. And you get to see Christopher Lee as a pirate!
Next year they will be releasing an Icons of Suspense set of Hammer flicks. If you enjoyed stuff like Paranoiac w/ Oliver Reed you'll probably get a kick out of this stuff. You can read about this stuff here.
